Switzerland – Loft Dynamics hosted its second annual Loft Fest on April 3–4, 2025, bringing together over 100 aviation professionals to explore advancements in virtual reality (VR) flight simulation technology. The event featured two main segments: the SkyMaster Summit and the Stratosphere Symposium.

• The SkyMaster Summit, held at Loft Dynamics’ headquarters, provided attendees with hands-on experiences of the latest VR simulation features, including demonstrations of the LofTWIN virtual demo mode by Airbus Helicopters’ Head of Pilot Training, Yann Guérin, and best practices for introducing pilots to VR simulation by Air Greenland’s Chief Flight Instructor, Marco Peyer

• The Stratosphere Symposium at the Air Force Center in Dübendorf included a fireside chat titled “The Innovation Paradox: Can Authorities Drive Change?” moderated by Sky Dayton of Craft Ventures, with panelists David Solar from EASA and former FAA administrators Michael Huerta and Randy Babbitt, discussing how aviation regulators can update policies to keep pace with technological changes in flight training

• Loft Dynamics CEO Fabi Riesen announced the introduction of the Loft Suite, a full-stack suite of tools allowing pilots to train from anywhere, connect devices on the cloud, and access tools like virtual demos

• Alaska Airlines’ Head of Corporate Development, Pasha Saleh, announced a partnership with Loft Dynamics to develop and deploy five full-motion Boeing 737 VR simulators

• CTO Christian Marty introduced new VR eyewear that is smaller and lighter than current headsets, offering enhanced visual experiences

• Additional presentations included discussions on mountain flying training, wingsuit flight, and a keynote by Swiss astronaut Claude Nicollier on space missions
