Malaysia Aviation Group Appoints New Airline CEO and Strategy Chief in 2026

Malaysia – Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), parent company of Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and Amal, has announced key leadership changes effective 1 February 2026, appointing Bryan Foong Chee Yeong as Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business and Low Wen Long as Group Chief Strategy Officer. These appointments come as MAG advances into the next phase of its Long-Term Business Plan 3.0 (LTBP 3.0), focused on disciplined growth and financial sustainability.

  • Bryan Foong, previously Group Chief Strategy Officer, will now oversee MAG’s airline operations portfolio. He played a pivotal role in MAG’s post-pandemic financial restructuring and in developing key strategic partnerships.

  • Low Wen Long, formerly Head of Corporate Strategy, will lead the Group’s enterprise-wide strategic planning, including long-term fleet and network optimization.

  • The leadership shift coincides with Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar’s assumption of his role as President and Group CEO of MAG
