Portugal’s IFA International Flight Academy to Continue Operating from Cascais
Cascais December 7, 2023 – In a recent development, IFA International Flight Academy, a leading aviation training company in Portugal, was informed by the CMC through its Vice-President that the continuity of schools at the Cascais Aerodrome will not be affected while the management of the same Aerodrome belongs to the Cascais city council.
Indeed, according to the same body, there are plans on the part of the CMC to concession the Cascais Aerodrome, highlighting that after the same concession, the continued presence of flight schools at Cascais Aerodrome will be subject to negotiations between private entities.
Taking into account several factors that include the time until granting, the importance of aviation schools for the sustainability of the Aerodrome itself, the structural limitations of Cascais for heavier aviation and the recent recommendations for the construction of a new Lisbon airport with the maintenance of the current Humberto Delgado Airport, we are convinced that the permanence of the schools will be a reality that will last for many years.
IFA – International Flight Academy is a leading company in aeronautical training in Portugal with operating bases in Cascais and Viseu and with a range of very broad training that includes training for professional and private pilots, cabin crew, aviation mechanics and airline type ratings aerial, among others.
