Flight School Management Software, Flight Schedule Pro, Announces New Feature – “Billing Packages”

In efforts to support the uplift in accelerated training programs, Flight Schedule Pro’s team has developed a way for flight school operators to sell instruction hours, aircraft hours, as well as products and services in bulk that will entice new student pilots, while delighting the ones you already have by allowing them to focus on the flying, not the finances. See the below extract from Flight Schedule Pro about this new feature;

“Introducing – Billing Packages

‘Billing Packages’ is the solution to bundled pilot program offerings that are customized specific to your operational needs and billed directly within Flight Schedule Pro. From Private Pilot to Career Pilot, students can purchase a package that fits their training goals. The payment(s) will then be treated as credits on their Account Balance and subsequent invoices for items included in the package deduct funds from that account balance. This simplifies the invoices customers are concerned about and focuses them instead on their usage of hours and overall training progress. Your school as well as your student pilots can track the usage of package items, with clear visibility into what was purchased vs what is remaining.

Billing Packages Features

  • Ability to create new billing packages and view the details of created packages.
  • Ability to invoice for a package as a whole, as well as line items included in the package. Item invoices utilize the specialized package rate.
  • Ability to view a list of customers who have purchased a package, the details behind the purchase, and the remaining balance.
  • Dashboard widget for customer accounts that shows the hours purchased vs hours remaining.
  • Ability to transfer hours from one “bucket” into another if a customer is running short and needs additional hours to complete their training.
  • Reporting for packages that can be joined to other reporting analysis grids.”

Global Flight Training Group, Airways Aviation, Shares Remarkable Journey of Students to the Taiwanese Airline

Global flight training group Airways Aviation, which operates pilot training academies across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Oceanic region, shared through its Australian base the inspiring journey of two exceptional individuals, Tiger and Jonathan, who, despite the turbulent times in the aviation industry, soared to new heights and realized their dreams with Taiwanese airline Starlux Airlines.

“In the world of aviation, Starlux Airlines is a name synonymous with luxury, innovation, and quality. Founded by the distinguished K.W. Chang, a former chairman and 777 pilot with EVA Air, Starlux Airlines set out to redefine the flying experience. With a fleet boasting the latest Airbus models, including the A320neo, A330neo, and A350-900, it was no small feat for Airways Aviation’s graduates, Tiger (Po Yu Lai) and Jonathan (Chia-Yang Hsu), to secure positions as first officers with this prestigious airline.

“I’m truly honored and excited about my recent appointment with Starlux. Following my training at Airways Aviation, I continued to expand my knowledge and skills which allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the aviation industry and further hone my expertise. I am grateful for all the experiences that have brought me to this point and for the opportunities that lie ahead with Starlux,” former Airways Aviation student, Tiger explains of his recent selection.

Tiger and Jonathan embarked on their aviation journeys in2017 with aspirations of becoming pilots. They chose Airways Aviation in partnership with Southern Cross University as the launchpad for their careers. Both students completed their Bachelor of Business with Southern Cross University and earned their Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence) and Instrument Rating with Airways Aviation back in 2020. Upon graduating, the aviation industry faced unprecedented challenges due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The world watched as aviation grappled with uncertainty and downturns. Finding a job in the aviation sector during these trying times was an uphill battle. But Tiger and Jonathan didn’t give up. They continued to work hard, improving their skills and knowledge while keeping their dream alive.

Three years later, Tiger and Jonathan finally received the news they had been waiting for. They had not only passed but excelled in the rigorous interview process, securing their positions as first officers with Starlux Airlines. They are about to embark on an exciting career, flying some of the most beautiful and cutting-edge aircraft in the world.” shared Janet D, CEO of Airways Aviation Australia.
