L3Harris Graduate Pilot Placement Pool Seeing Increasing Airline Hiring
Global pilot training solution provider L3Harris shared that its pilot placement pool has been reduced dramatically which means these pilots secured jobs with European airlines. According to data released by L3Harris, the number of graduates in Pilot Placement Pool 2022 is 550. On the other hand, the number of graduates in Pilot Placement Pool 2023 as of July is 362 of which 144 have jobs lined-up.
L3Harris have graduated 50 pilots since January 2023, 72% of this (or 36) are in employment or will be by end of 2023.
Of the remaining 14 students that have graduated so far in 2023, 12 have average pass marks of 85% or higher and therefore qualify for the L3Harris/British Airways recruitment pathway. If all 12 are successful it would take the L3Harris graduate employment rate for 2023 to 96% (the same percentage used to achieve pre-pandemic).
L3Harris graduates, since January 2022, are employed with European leading airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Nordica, Wizz Air, Jet2.com, Ryanair, TUI, and Loganair.
