Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – based full flight simulator training center and pilot training organisation Pier Seven Aviation has announced the successful completion of the UAE GCAA A320 Type Rating for two pilots for Ras Al Khaimah cargo operator Vaayu Group.

In November 2024 Ras Al Khaimah, UAE based Fly Vaayu, a cargo airline under the Vaayu Group, had officially commenced operations after being granted its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA. Fly Vaayu aims to position Ras Al Khaimah as a regional cargo hub, serving sectors including forwarding, e-commerce, and transshipment. On October 7, 2024, Fly Vaayu received its first A320-200P2F, the first A320 freighter registered in the Middle East, converted at ST Aerospace’s Guangzhou facility.

Pier Seven Aviation operates a fleet of six dynamic simulators, including the A320 NEO, A320 CEO, B737 CL, B737 NG, and B747.
