Airbus Europe Training Centre Adds A330neo FFS and Signs Dry Lease Agreement with Corsair

France – Airbus Training has announced a new milestone in its partnership with French long-haul carrier Corsair, signing a dry-lease agreement for the airline to utilise Airbus’ new A330neo Full Flight Simulator (FFS) at the recently inaugurated Airbus Training Centre in Toulouse.

  • The agreement sees Corsair’s pilots conducting both recurrent and initial type training on Airbus’ latest-generation A330neo FFS, which replicates the precise handling and performance characteristics of Corsair’s in-service fleet.
  • Training at the Toulouse centre began on November 3, 2025, with Corsair becoming one of the first airlines to take advantage of the simulator’s enhanced fidelity and realism, enabling pilots to transition seamlessly between simulation and live operations.
  • • The simulator also supports maintenance training, including realistic engine run-up procedures, providing a holistic operational environment for both pilots and engineers.
  • • Airbus’ Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) framework underpins the new curriculum, focusing on measurable pilot competencies and real-world performance rather than traditional task-based evaluation.

Statements

  • “This partnership with Airbus strengthens our commitment to safety, excellence and continuous training. It is a new step forward in Corsair’s ambition to operate one of the most modern and responsible fleets in the world.” – Enea Fracassi, Chief Operating Officer, Corsair
  • “This dry-lease agreement is the latest part of a collaboration built on mutual trust. It facilitates experience sharing between the two organisations. Corsair’s operational insights and pilot feedback provide Airbus with valuable real-world data to refine training programs and aircraft design.” – Yasmine Seffar-Andaloussi, General Manager, Airbus Europe Training Centre

ALSIM’s New AL2006 Simulator Deployed to Professional Aviation Academy in Italy

Italy – At the European Airline  Training Symposium (EATS) 2025 in Portugal, ALSIM celebrates a new milestone in flight training: Professional Aviation Academy in Italy is among the first to  integrate the brand-new AL2006 simulator, designed to replicate the Tecnam®  P2006T NG. This acquisition reinforces the academy’s commitment to  delivering high-quality, realistic multi-engine pilot training.

The AL2006 faithfully reproduces the Tecnam P2006T NG, a highly regarded, cost-efficient multi-engine trainer. Designed to FTD Level 5 and EASA FNPT II standards, offering a full-size flight deck replica, a semi-enclosed instructor station, active control loading, and a specific flight model based on aircraft flight characteristics.

For maximum realism, the AL2006 is equipped with an immersive visual system featuring three high-definition laser projectors, enhanced by a vibration cueing system, and delivering an impressive 210° x 50° field of view. It also includes the original Garmin G1000 NXi and GFC 700 autopilot, ensuring an authentic experience that closely replicates the real aircraft’s cockpit environment — a world first for a P2006T NG simulator.

“Being an existing ALSIM customer and well aware of the quality of their products and after-sales support, I have strongly encouraged the investment in the AL2006 simulator. The Tecnam P2006T has already proven to be one of the best-selling twin-engine aircraft on the market, and I believe the new Tecnam P2006T NG is the platform the industry has been waiting for.

Having a dedicated simulator developed by a well-established company like ALSIM is a key element in providing high-quality, cost-effective training. It represents a critical step forward in maintaining excellence and competitiveness in today’s flight training environment,” states Vito Preti, Accountable Manager and Director of Professional Aviation Academy

Leonardo Rodrigues, Sales Manager at ALSIM, adds: “Many flight schools have the P2006 as their twin-engine of choice. A type-specific simulator for this aircraft is an important tool to complement their offering, providing seamless transition between simulator and airplane training.

Simnest Aviation and Portugal’s Omni Aviation Training Center Announce the Purchase of a Simnest A320 FNPT II MCC

Portugal At the EATS 2025 conference held in Cascais, Portugal, Simnest Aviation and Omni Aviation Training Center officially announced the purchase of a Simnest A320 FNPT II MCC simulator for the Cascais-based pilot school. The nearly 30-year-old Omni Aviation Training Center (OATC) first tested the Simnest A320 FNPT II MCC exactly one year ago during the 2024 EATS event.

“Our mission is to deliver rigorous, high-quality aviation training and to prepare professionals with the highest technical competencies. As we are upgrading our MCC course to the APS MCC and continue to support White Airways (also part of the OMNI Group) in their demand for A320-qualified pilots, it became evident that this simulator was the right choice. When we stepped out of the Simnest simulator after our test flight last year, it immediately became clear that this was the device that could support our mission. Its high-fidelity environment, outstanding quality, and realistic behavior convinced us right away,” said Dylan van Haasen, Head of Training at OATC.

Following detailed negotiations, the two organizations finalized all terms this fall and officially announced the agreement at EATS — fittingly in OATC’s hometown of Cascais.

“From the very first interaction, there was great chemistry between our companies — we share the same values and vision. That is why we are especially pleased to officially announce our cooperation today, one year after our first discussions. With this agreement, three Simnest simulators will soon support pilot training in Portugal,” stated Balázs Herendi, Chief Commercial Officer of Simnest Group.

The new Simnest A320 FNPT II MCC simulator will be installed and operational at OATC’s Cascais facility in spring 2026.

About Simnest Aviation
Simnest Aviation is a major player in the fixed-base FSTD manufacturing market. The company has 23 type-representative simulators operating across eight European countries, and its proprietary FMGS software is also used in North America and Asia. Its product lineup — including the Simnest A320 FNPT II MCC, its simplified version, the Simnest A320 AATD, and the Simnest B737 FNPT II MCC — is designed to closely replicate the real aircraft, down to the finest details. This high level of realism has helped ATOs around the world expand their training portfolios and secure pilot training contracts with major airlines such as Brussels Airlines, Jettime, Norwegian, Scandinavian Airlines, and Wizz Air.

About Omni Aviation
OMNI Aviation Training Center (OATC) was established in 1998 as a department of OMNI Aviação e Tecnologia, SA. In 2007, OATC became an independent company, a result of the rapid growth of the OMNI Group and the increasing number of students attracted by the center’s growing reputation and experience. Since then, OATC has continued to evolve, expanding its capabilities to meet the training needs of both the OMNI Group and external aviation organizations in Portugal and abroad. In 2025, OATC entered a new phase of development with the launch of its fleet renewal program and the acquisition of next-generation Elixir aircraft. These investments mark a significant step toward modernizing the training infrastructure, enhancing sustainability, and further aligning OATC’s programs with airline-level standards.
