Turkish Airlines Adopts CAE’s Next-Generation Unified Task Board and Crew Management Solutions
Turkey – CAE announced that Turkish Airlines has signed a long-term agreement to implement CAE’s next-generation Crew Management product and the Unified Task Board – a new situational awareness and disruption management solution for airline operations control centres (OCCs). In addition to Crew Management and Unified Task Board, Turkish Airlines is a longstanding user of CAE’s Flight Plan Management product.
Designed from the ground up and in close alignment with airline partners, the Unified Task Board provides situational awareness of the operation across the OCC. It optimizes disruption and recovery management by integrating data from multiple systems into a single view to support decision-making. The platform auto-calculates disruption scenarios for common and complex day-of-operations issues in real time and allows users to sort, filter, and evaluate solution trade-offs to identify the most beneficial resolution pathway.
“With the integration of CAE’s Flight Plan Management, Crew Management and Unified Task Board solutions, Turkish Airlines is equipping its team to enhance operations and maximize overall performance,” said Pascal Grenier, CAE’s Division President of Flight Solutions.“The Crew Management platform aims to boost crew productivity, optimize efficiency and resolve disruptions when time is of the essence. Additionally, the Unified Task Board will enable Turkish Airlines to efficiently manage operational disruptions by offering a comprehensive, real-time view of alerts, contextual details, and system-generated recovery scenarios in a single interface, enabling the Crew Management teams to take more informed decisions faster.”
“We are committed to maintaining our competitive edge and delivering the high-quality travel experience our guests rely on with Turkish Airlines. To achieve this, we continuously seek innovative solutions to enhance our operations. Building on the success of CAE’s Flight Management software, we are excited to move forward with the integration of the company’s Crew Management software and Unified Task Board. We are confident these solutions will increase efficiencies, reduce disruptions for our guests, allow faster disruption recovery, and create an even better working environment for our crew,” said Ahmet Acar, Senior Vice President of crew Planning at Turkish Airlines.
CAE’s suite of Flight Operations Solutions includes Crew Management, Flight Management, Airport Management, In-Flight Services Management, Operations Control, Training Management and Unified Task Board. Using data from the suite of products, Unified Task Board enhances situational awareness and breaks down silos to enable users to work collaboratively and make proactive informed decisions. CAE’s Flight Operations Solutions allow airlines to make faster decisions and push real-time changes. Each software package offers improved efficiencies through automated workflows and intuitive, user-friendly interfaces, seamlessly integrating with other service-oriented architecture.

Training Aircraft Manufacturer Elixir Aircraft Receives Interest for 35 Aircraft from Northern American Flight Training Group
USA – Elixir Aircraft, the 4th generation aircraft manufacturer, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to supply 35 Elixir 100HP aircraft to Buiqui Aerospace, flying school based in Orlando, Florida.
Following their meeting in Oshkosh during EAA AirVenture airshow in July 2024, Elixir Aircraft and Buiqui Aerospace have signed a letter of intent to supply 35 Elixir aircraft to the flying school based in Orlando, Florida.
Georgie Buitron, CFO and co-founder of Buiqui Aerospace stated, “After meeting the Elixir Aircraft team and experiencing their innovative aircraft at Oshkosh in July 2024, my partners and I were thoroughly impressed. The Elixir is tailored for professional flight training, boasting significant safety enhancements, a reduction in carbon emissions by up to 70% compared to older aircraft, and a design that minimizes maintenance time, allowing more flight hours for our students.”
Cyril Champenois, co-founder of Elixir Aircraft and head of sales and marketing added, “The Elixir being best in class globally for its extremely low operating cost of around 50$ per hour, fuel and maintenance, as well as for its carbon airframe with no life expectancy. These features make it a perfect aircraft economically for Buiqui Aerospace, but also technically in hot and humid regions such as Florida.”
About Elixir Aircraft
Elixir Aircraft is a French aircraft manufacturer founded in 2015 to meet the challenges of global light aviation. Based in La Rochelle, it has over 150 employees and is recruiting massively. Elixir Aircraft designed and has been building a 4th-generation two-seater aircraft, certified EASA CS-23 since 2020. Elixir Aircraft uses technology from the world of competitive sailing, the “Carbon Oneshot” (in one piece), to simplify structures. More simplicity means fewer failures, so greater safety, but also less maintenance, and lower costs (estimates of savings of $50/h fuel and maintenance). At the end of 2021, Elixir Aircraft opened a new production site in Périgny, Charente Maritime, to bring production of all carbon parts in-house.
There are 30 Elixir aircraft currently in operation, with over 300 of the 4th-generation Elixir aircraft on the order book (firm orders, pre-orders and letters of intent). In June 2023, the French President announced a 13-million euro subsidy for Elixir Aircraft. In early 2024, Elixir Aircraft announced the closing of its development financing for the next 5 years, with a budget of 40 million euros. Elixir Aircraft is preparing to open a new 15,000 m2 facility in La Rochelle and another in Sarasota, Florida.
