Certified under the FAA’s Part 23 rules in 2019, the NX Cub is known for its innovative design featuring powerful STOL capabilities, an advanced avionics suite, and a rugged, lightweight airframe. Equipped with a tandem seat cockpit for maximum visibility and a Lycoming 215 horsepower fuel injected engine for the best power in its class, the aircraft is ideal for precision flight training environment in which the Golden Eagles regularly operate.

Embry-Riddle’s Golden Eagles have a long history of excellence, consistently dominating at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s SAFECON competition. By incorporating the NX Cub into their training fleet, the team aims to expand their operational capabilities and further cement their reputation as the premier collegiate aviation team in the country.
