Middle East Based Pilot Training Operator Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise Partners with Pier Seven Aviation to Enhance its Pilot Training Offering in Lebanon and Cyprus

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise, a subsidiary of Mehyou Group, which operates Airways Aviation branded flight training organisations in Lebanon and Cyprus, has signed a strategic agreement with United Arab Emirates based full flight simulator training center Pier Seven Aviation to to deliver comprehensive Type Rating training for both current students and qualified pilots in Lebanon and Cyprus.

This alliance between two industry leaders will introduce advanced training capabilities across various aircraft, including the A320-CEO, A320-NEO, B737 Classic, B737 NG, and B747-400. The partnership is set to transform IAE Training Academies into full-fledged training hubs capable of taking pilots from zero experience to the cockpit, enhancing IAE’s expansion strategy across the region.

Wissam Mehyou, Chairman and CEO of IAE, stated, “Through this partnership, we are thrilled to enhance our training programs at Airways Aviation Training School in Lebanon, currently nurturing over 40 students. This initiative will provide them with crucial next steps in their training, progressing towards commercial airline positions. Additionally, our upcoming training facility in Cyprus will soon offer an integrated zero-to-cockpit course.

The announcement follows Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise unveiled its ambitious plans earlier in April 2024 to double its aviation training capacity by the year 2025. The expansion plan includes a comprehensive rebranding and international incorporation strategy to bolster its presence in the Middle Eastern and global market, with a robust investment plan in the aviation industry of up to 40 million dollars in the next five years. The rebranding effort will reflect the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and the future of aviation. In conjunction with these developments, Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise is proud to announce the appointment of Frederico Fernandes as Deputy CEO for Business Development and Innovation.
