Kore Aviation Partners with JET Aviation Services to Support Student Pilots in Illinois

Illinois, USA — Kore Aviation is proud to announce a new partnership with JET Aviation Services, a Part 61 flight school based in Illinois. Through this collaboration, Kore Aviation becomes the official headset provider for the school, supplying KA-1 headsets to student pilots for use in flight training, ground instruction, and early discovery flights. Students training with JET Aviation Services will also receive access to exclusive discounts as part of Kore Aviation’s student support initiative.

Led by founder and instructor John Thompson, JET Aviation Services has quickly built a reputation for offering a grounded, professional approach to flight training. Thompson’s philosophy centers on creating a relaxed and student-friendly environment without compromising high standards or instructional quality. With a background that includes roles as a sheriff, ATP, and certified instructor across multiple categories, Thompson brings a wide range of real-world experience to each training session.

“My efforts in flight training are nothing more than professional,” said John Thompson, Founder of JET Aviation Services. “Students should always feel comfortable with their instructor, both in the airplane and on the ground. That comfort level makes the entire process more effective and enjoyable. The Kore Aviation KA-1 plays a part in that experience. Its clarity and ease of communication help reduce workload and keep students focused, especially in the early stages of learning to fly.”

Thompson first discovered Kore Aviation several years ago but was drawn back to the brand after seeing the company’s outreach during Oshkosh 2025. After sharing the Kore Aviation KA-1 with students and instructors, the response was immediate and positive. One local pilot even purchased a KA-1 headset for personal use and has since praised its performance and reliability.

“Student pilots already have a lot to process. The KA-1 reduces stress by delivering clean audio, both incoming and outgoing, so communication is never a distraction,” Thompson added. “When I think back to learning in aircraft with no intercom and poor speakers, the KA-1 is a major step forward. It gets my full support every day.”

“At Kore Aviation, we are drawn to instructors who lead with experience, clarity, and care,” said Min Kim, President of Kore Aviation. “John’s passion for his students and his respect for the training process is clear in everything he does. We are proud to support JET Aviation Services and help their pilots train with the gear they deserve.”

Resilient Pilot Partners with Pegasus Airlines to Deliver Bespoke IE Standardisation Program

Türkiye – Resilient Pilot delivered the inaugural IE standardisation in facilitation program with Türkiye’s largest low-cost airline for over 130 of its Instructor Evaluators (IEs).

The programme aims to boost the IATA and recently adopted European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) ORO.FC.146 Evidence-Based Training (EBT) IE Competencies 3.0 (Instruction) IEC 4.0 (Interaction with Trainees) with a particular focus on enhancing effective facilitation of the five non-tech pilot competencies, ultimately driving an increase in resilience for all pilots.

The training programme, which will run for 12 months, will focus on three distinct phases and see Resilient Pilot deliver:

  • Virtual, face-to-face onboarding for IEs to enhance their understanding of the purpose, mission, and learning objectives of the programme
  • Provide access to Resilience Deck, Resilient Pilot’s proprietary in-your-pocket CBTA Development Co-pilot App, which enables 24/7 development of pilot competencies and Observable Behaviours (OBs)
  • Deliver two days of classroom-based and IPT device interactive training for all IEs at Pegasus Airlines head office in Istanbul
  • Conduct sample observations of IEs delivering LOFT sessions, focussing on facilitation and implementation of the iOBs
  • Proving ongoing support to Pegasus Airlines’ IE community through virtual coaching

Commenting on Resilient Pilot’s partnership with Pegasus Airline’s, Founder and CEO of Resilient Pilot, Stuart Beech said: “Pegasus Airlines is leading the way in embracing CBTA/EBT and we are delighted to work with them to achieve their training objectives. We have developed a bespoke programme that starts with developing their IEs, ensuring they understand the required pilot competencies and OBs needed on the flight deck. The package is a hybrid combination of distance learning and face-to-face interactive training, all underpinned by Resilience Deck, the world’s first app for pilot competencies and human factors.

“The team at Pegasus Airlines have already shown huge enthusiasm for achieving training excellence, and we’re looking forward to working with them over the coming year.”

ELITE Simulation Solutions Delivers DA-42 FAA FTD Level 5 / EASA FNPT II to Nakhon Phanom University, Thailand

Switzerland & Thailand – flight simulator manufacturer ELITE Simulation Solutions is pleased to announce the successful installation of an ELITE Diamond DA-42 FAA FTD level 5 / EASA FNPT II flight training device at Nakhon Phanom University (NPU) in Thailand. This marks the third DA-42 simulator delivered by ELITE to Thailand in 2025, reinforcing ELITE’s position as a leading provider of advanced flight training systems in Southeast Asia.

Strengthening Pilot Training in Thailand

Nakhon Phanom University is now home to one of the most advanced DA-42-class simulators in the region. The device will provide students and flight training personnel with high-fidelity, certified simulation capabilities, helping bridge theoretical instruction and real-world flight experience in a controlled, safe environment.

This latest installation expands ELITE’s footprint in Thailand, following two prior DA-42 deployments earlier in 2025. The addition at NPU further supports Thailand’s aviation training infrastructure and elevates the standard of pilot education in the region.

Technical Highlights & Capabilities

The ELITE Diamond DA-40/DA-42 family, which includes the S823 convertible platform combines certified realism, flexibility, and compact design.

Key features of the installed DA-42 FTD5 / FNPT II include:

  • EASA FNPT II & FAA AATD / Level 5 qualification: The simulator is certified to meet rigorous European and U.S. standards for flight training devices.
  • Garmin G1000 / G1000 NXi replica avionics: A fully realistic avionics system that mirrors real aircraft configurations.
  • Compact footprint: The device is engineered to fit through standard doors, facilitating transport and installation in diverse training environments.
  • Visual system options: Includes a curved visual projection system (e.g. 4 m / 200° field of view) or alternative display configurations depending on room layout.
  • Loggable hours & credit potential: Under EASA CS-FSTD (A), the device supports logging of basic, instrument, and multi-engine training hours toward PPL, CPL, IR, and ATPL credit.

Importantly, while installed as a Diamond DA-42, the system retains the flexibility for a future Diamond DA-40 conversion if desired – a capability inherent in ELITE’s convertible design approach.

Complete Solutions & Support

ELITE provided full onsite installation, calibration, and operator training at NPU. The company also offers ongoing support, updates, and re-certification assistance to ensure maximum uptime and regulatory compliance.

This deployment demonstrates ELITE’s commitment to its clients in Thailand and to the broader Asia-Pacific region. As aviation training demand continues to grow, ELITE remains dedicated to delivering certified, high-performance simulation solutions.

“We are honored to partner with Nakhon Phanom University to advance pilot training capacity in Thailand. This third DA-42 installation in Thailand reflects both our technical capability and our commitment to regional development.” – Christopher Reville, CCO, ELITE Simulation Solutions
