Airbus Flight Academy Europe Signs ProMilès Manifesto Supporting French Armed Forces
Angoulême, France – Airbus Flight Academy Europe (AFAE) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the French Armed Forces by signing the “ProMilès” manifesto, a pledge to assist active and reserve personnel, wounded service members, veterans, and their families. The agreement was signed by Thierry Nowaczyk, President of AFAE, and Colonel Alain Ulm, Departmental Military Delegate of Charente.
- The manifesto highlights AFAE’s ongoing support for the armed forces, emphasizing recruitment, training, and skills development for military personnel transitioning to civilian roles.
- Since its establishment in 2006, AFAE has recruited over 100 former military members, integrating their expertise into aviation training programs.
- AFAE has played a critical role in enhancing the operational capabilities of the French Army, Air and Space Force, and Navy through its training initiatives.

Turkish Airlines Flight Academy Welcomes President in 2025
Aydin, Turkey – Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA), the flight training group subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has hosted this week the President of Turkey and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure at its facility, along with their delegations. The visit emphasized the academy’s significance in advancing aviation training and infrastructure development in the country.
The delegation was welcomed by TAFA’s Chairman of the Board, Mr. Abdulkerim Çay; General Manager, Mr. İbrahim Zeki Akyurt; and Human Resources and Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Muhammed Eşref Başyiğit.
TAFA conducted a remarkable growth over the past five years. The academy has expanded its operational capacity threefold and significantly increased its annual flight hours to 68,000 in 2024.
The academy currently trains 281 pilots annually, with plans to increase this figure to graduate 350 by 2026.
