Boeing’s latest commercial outlook shows that Middle East’s commercial aircraft fleet, who already holds the highest number of widebody aircraft, is projected to more than double requiring 2,980 new aircraft in the next twenty years which are forecasted to be mostly widebody passenger jets.

According to Boeing, the Middle East fleet will more than double over the next twenty years. The single-aisle fleet will grow fastest, due in large part to the rapid growth of low-cost carriers across the region. In 2019, the Middle East consists of 660 single-aisle aircraft and is set to rise to 1,650 in 2041. On the other hand, widebody aircraft in 2019 are at 740 and is predicted to rise up to 1,510.
