Air India is planning to add over 500 crews each month for the next months, Chief executive officer Campbell Wilson said in his weekly message to employees.
“As the system settles in, crew should see earlier roster publication, more stable rosters, better integrity of ‘golden offs’ and better standby provisioning to reduce last minute call-ups,” said Wilson. “Additionally, with more than 500 new crew being released into service in each of the coming months, we will be able to reinstate full crew complements and accelerate training.”
“Also, when averaged over a few months, there will also be more equitable earnings,” added Wilson.

Florida, United States based flight training organisation L3Harris Airline Academy announced that United States based low-cost carrier Avelo Airlines have now joined their ever-growing list of partner airlines. Through the Avelo Direct Program, L3Harris’ AAPT graduates will be able to progress from qualified Flight Instructor with L3Harris to First Officer with Avelo. Successful candidates will join Avelo’s Boeing 737 fleet headquartered in Houston, Texas.

This preferred hiring pathway will allow Aviator College graduates who have achieved their requirements to quickly move to Avelo Airlines and begin flying as airline pilots or working as airline maintenance technicians.
