US Aviation and Pilot Training Group Epic Flight Academy Welcomes Talent Acquisition Specialist from Airline in June 2024
Florida, United States-headquartered flight and aircraft maintenance training group Epic Flight Academy welcomed ndrew Nicholson, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist of CommuteAir at its Ocala and Tallahassee locations. Mr Nicholson discussed pilot opportunities with the regional operator and the Aviate partnership, which offers a pathway to United Airlines for aspiring pilots. He also extended his congratulations on the addition of a new Piper Seminole to the Academy’s fleet.
Epic Flight Academy is headquartered in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with locations across the U.S. The company was founded in 1999 and provides FAA-approved flight training and aircraft mechanic training.

French Pilot Training Organisation Mermoz Academy Announces Airline Partnership for Sponsored Cadet Pilot Program
Nimes, France based aviation and pilot training organisation Mermoz Academy has announced its collaboration with Luxair, flag carrier of Luxembourg and operator of 21 commercial aircraft. Through this program, Luxair pre-finances the entire training of student pilots selected at Mermoz Academy, offering job security from the beginning of their career. Future pilots will reimburse part of their training through a deduction from their salary, thus making the profession of pilot accessible to a greater number.
Back in April 2024 Mermoz Academy completed the acquisition of 10 Tecnam P-Mentors for its fleet expansion programme. The aircraft will be used for both PPL (Private Pilot Licence) and MPL (Multi Pilot Licence) courses. The flight training academy, which has been operating in France since 2018, currently has 220 students and a fleet of ten (10) P-Mentor, five (5) P2006T twin-engine and four (4) P2010 single-engine four-seaters.

Global Flight Training Group Skyborne Announces Indian Cadet Program Start Dates for Remainder of 2024
Skyborne, a global pilot training group which operates flight training bases in the United Kingdom and the United States, welcomed a new group of seven (7) cadet pilots under the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program at the Vero Beach, Florida in June 2024. The pilot training group also indicated another group will arrive in Florida to start their training in July with remaining batches for 2024 being August, October, November and December.
In March 2024 Skyborne signed a five-year contract extension with IndiGo, India’s largest passenger airline, to continue to train its next generation of A320 First Officers. The IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme with Skyborne, offers 100 selected cadets per year an international training programme and US FAA and Indian DGCA dual licences.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam based airline owned aviation academy and full flight simulator training center Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA), has shared that graduates from its abinitio cadet pilot training program partner – Oregon, United States based Hillsboro Aero Academy have started the Academy’s new ATPL Training Program. After 12 months of training at the Hillsboro Aero Academy, the trainees cadets continue to receive ATP theoretical training in Vietnam.
Oregon, United States based flight school Hillsboro Aero Academy welcomed its first batch of six VietJet Cadets in April 2023.
In 2020, Hillsboro Aero Academy successfully completed a long and rigorous process to achieve certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to conduct professional airplane pilot training in accordance with CAAV regulations. That approval ensures that Vietnamese cadets who complete their training with HAA will be qualified to fly for Vietnamese airlines.
