India’s flag carrier Air India’s Training Academy, the 600,000 square foot campus in Gurugram will become one of the largest aviation training institutions in South East Asia, has highlighted two of its flight training partners with which it launched abinitio flight training cadetship programs earlier in 2024. “Soar higher with integrated learning experiences built on strong partnerships. We are proud to bring the Air India Cadet Pilot Program in collaboration with AeroGuard Flight Training Center and L3Harris Flight Academy.
With this partnership, we aim to offer cadets practical exposure from Day 1, guidance from highly experienced mentors, management seminars & much more for a seamless transition into our Air India group post-completion of the program.” stated Air India Training Academy.

Air India is planning to grow its fleet by 3x and which according to its CEO Campell Wilson will on average, induct one aircraft joining the fleet every six days throughout 2024.

Global pilot training group Skyborne which operates flight training bases across the United Kingdom and the United States is thrilled to welcome 7 new IndiGo Cadets who began their flight training recently at its Vero Beach, Florida academy.
IN March 2024 Skyborne announced that it had signed a five-year contract extension with IndiGo, India’s largest passenger airline, to continue to train its next generation of A320 First Officers. Applications are open for the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme with Skyborne, offering 100 selected cadets per year an international training programme and US FAA and Indian DGCA dual licences.
Rina Basu, Regional Director (Asia Pacific), Skyborne, says: “The trust IndiGo has placed in Skyborne since 2019 is a huge source of pride and testament to our vision to redefine pilot training.”
The 17-month course begins at Skyborne’s United States facility in Vero Beach, Florida, with cadets spending 12 months earning their US FAA 141 Commercial Pilots License with Instrument Rating, plus the required multi-engine time, before completing a DCGA licence conversion in India. The application process has recently been revamped to include the latest suite of ADAPT pilot aptitude tests from Symbiotics.

Florida, United States-headquartered flight and aircraft maintenance training group Epic Flight Academy welcomed representatives from Silver Airways at its New Smyrna Beach campus. During the visit, Silver Airways revealed the addition of two new Silver Sterling cadets from Epic Flight Academy.
On Friday, February 9, 2024, United States based flight training group Epic Flight Academy and Silver Airways jointly announced their partnership, an exclusive pilot pathway to Silver Airways. Accepted candidates participate in this career development program that includes mentoring and career guidance, professional pilot development, and internship and engagement opportunities.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Epic Flight Academy and look forward to speaking with the students and instructors about Sterling, our new pilot pathway program,” said Kerri Beuker, Director of Talent & Engagement at Silver Airways.
Epic founder and CEO Danny Perna added, “The Sterling program provides excellent career options for our students. We are happy to establish this partnership and offer this excellent pilot pathway.”
Silver Airways is a regional airline based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Founded in 2011, Silver operates flights throughout Florida, the Southeast, and The Bahamas.
Epic Flight Academy is headquartered in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with locations across the U.S. The company was founded in 1999 and provides FAA-approved flight training and aircraft mechanic training.
