Czech Republic Flight Training Group F AIR Cadets Visit Airline Partner’s Maintenance Facilities

One of Europe’s largest flight schools, when measured by fleet size, Czech Republic-based F AIR Ltd facilitated a visit for its Smart Wings (SW) Cadet Pilot Program students to Smart Wings’ maintenance hangar and Operational Control Center (OCC). The initiative was well-received by the aspiring cadets, providing them with valuable insights into the operational and maintenance aspects of aviation. In addition to the visit to Smart Wings’ facilities, the cadets had previously explored the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at LKPR, enhancing their understanding of the intricacies of air traffic management.

Back in January 2023 F AIR aviation training center in cooperation with the Smartwings airline launched the cadet program. The program is intended for those interested in a professional pilot’s license and a job opportunity at the Smartwings airline. The aim of this program is to ensure efficient and high-quality ATPL training extended by specific knowledge and skills needed for subsequent seamless integration into the Smartwings airline. The training is completed by obtaining a CPL(A) commercial pilot license with MEP/IR(A) qualifications and ATPL(A) theory (ATPL(A) frozen), AUPRT, and MCC certificates. The training takes place in accordance with the operational requirements of Smartwings and under the supervision of a professional guarantor and instructors approved by Smartwings who also directly participate in the program. Participants of this program will receive a guarantee of an invitation to the selection process for the position of First Officer after completing the ATPL training.

AFM team note – flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, announced its new agreement with Smartwings, the Czech Republic-based airline, to wet lease four Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft between 17 October 2023 and 16 April 2024.
