Virtual Fly Simulators Enhance G1000 Training At European Airline Owned Flight Academy
Groningen, Netherlands – KLM Flight Academy, the flight training organisation subsidiary of Netherlands flag carrier KLM, has partnered with Netherlands based FlightsimWebshop to integrate advanced flight simulation technology into its training programs.
- KLM Flight Academy now uses Virtual Fly Simulators G1000 Trainer.
- This addition supports training with the Garmin G1000, a sophisticated glass cockpit suite.
- The simulators allow students to practice in a classroom setting, ensuring they are proficient with the G1000 before actual flight training.
- The new fleet at KLM Flight Academy includes 12 new Diamond aircraft equipped with the Garmin G1000.

Skies Aviation Academy, a flight school based in Peraia, Greece, which celebrated end of last year its 10-year anniversary of operational excellence, added a Tecnam P2008 JC to its fleet in June 2024.
In December 2023 it announced a new offer for its EASA ATPL Course that started March 2024:
- “Early Bird offer at €57500, making it the best deal of any EASA ATPL Integrated Course one can achieve in Europe at this time, with the provisions Skies Aviation Academy grant in its financial package. Deadline for the application is set on 31/12/2023.
- In case you pass the Early Bird offer, total course cost comes up to €65000. However, another scholarship of 50% shall be awarded to the candidate who will achieve TOP performance at an online assessment that has been created for this reason. Condition for any candidate to claim the scholarship, is to be officially enrolled at the academy.”
