Dan Riley, Aftermarket Technical Sales at Acron, led the presentation, exploring strategies to future‑proof training device capabilities and strengthen partnerships between operators and Training Device Manufacturers (TDMs).

  • The presentation focused on developing a structured obsolescence risk matrix, mapping vulnerabilities of simulator subsystems across technology epochs to guide smarter, data‑driven maintenance, upgrades, and investment decisions.

  • Emphasis was placed on the value of strategic partnerships between operators and TDMs to extend simulator lifespan, reduce downtime, and safeguard training readiness.
