Italian FTO Professional Aviation Celebrates Nearly 60 Graduates in September 2025

Ozzano dell’Emilia, Italy – Professional Aviation, one of the largest flight training organisations in the country, has celebrated the graduation of nearly 60 new pilots at its 2025 Graduation Fest. The event recognized students who successfully completed their PPL and CPL airplane and helicopter programs, highlighting the school’s growing role in supplying pilots to the global aviation industry.

CEO Vito Preti underlined the academy’s values, stating: “Our identity can be summed up in three words: safety, humility, and service. And one word that unites them all: perseverance.”

JFJ Aviation and Defence Teams Up with Vrgineers to Develop the Most Advanced Unrestricted 5th Generation Fighter Simulator

Austria – JFJ Aviation & Defence GmbH is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Czech-US technology company Vrgineers to co-develop an unrestricted version of a 5th Generation Fighter Simulator, setting a new benchmark in immersive pilot training and defense simulation.

The simulator cockpit will feature Vrgineers’ proprietary electronics and will be fully integrated with the Somnium VR1 and XTAL CAVU mixed-reality systems. This cutting-edge setup will support advanced pilot simulation, mission rehearsal, and technology demonstration in a fully immersive environment.

This marks the first direct collaboration between JFJ and Vrgineers, combining their respective strengths to deliver affordable, high-fidelity simulation solutions to defense and aerospace customers. The partnership aims to accelerate innovation by leveraging shared expertise in cockpit design, mixed-reality integration, and simulation hardware.

The project reflects both companies’ commitment to modernizing the simulation market, which has long relied on legacy technologies such as flat screens and basic projection systems. By introducing unrestricted mixed-reality capabilities, the simulator will offer pilots a more realistic and responsive training experience.

Simulator Manufacturer, BRUNNER Elektronik, to Showcase the Brand New and World’s First Qualified Mixed Reality FNPT II at EATS 2025

Portugal – BRUNNER Elektronik AG will be attending European Aviation Training Summit (EATS) 2025 in Cascais, Portugal bringing the NOVASIM MR DA42—the world’s first mixed reality FNPT II-qualified flight procedures & navigation simulator. Attendees can pre-book a test flight.

The simulator replicates the Diamond DA42 aircraft and meets full EASA FNPT II qualification standards.
The project was developed in collaboration with Lufthansa Aviation Training Group, Varjo, and key partners including FOCA (Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland).
The NOVASIM MR DA42 uses Varjo’s XR-4 Focal Edition headset to deliver immersive mixed reality, combining real and virtual cockpit elements.
