About Elixir Aircraft
Elixir Aircraft is a French aircraft manufacturer founded in 2015 to meet the challenges of global light aviation. Based in La Rochelle, it has over 200 employees and is recruiting massively. Elixir Aircraft designed and has been building a 4th-generation two-seater aircraft, certified EASA CS-23 since 2020. Elixir Aircraft uses technology from the world of competitive sailing, the “Carbon Oneshot” (in one piece), to simplify structures. More simplicity means fewer failures, so greater safety, but also less maintenance, and lower costs ($50/h fuel and maintenance).

There are 35 Elixir aircraft currently in operation, with over 300 of the 4th-generation Elixir aircraft on the order book (firm orders, pre-orders and letters of intent). In June 2023, the French President announced a 13-million euro subsidy for Elixir Aircraft. In early 2024, Elixir Aircraft announced the closing of its development financing for the next 5 years, with a budget of 40 million euros. In June 2025, Elixir Aircraft was chosen by ENAC (École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile) to renew its fleet of VFR aircraft. Elixir Aircraft is preparing to open a new 15,000 m2 facility in La Rochelle and another in Sarasota, Florida.

European Heli Center and REISER Officially Launch Full-Flight Simulator Project with Kick-Off Meeting in 2025

Berg, Bavaria, Germany – Following the announcement of their landmark agreement at the VERTICON Show in Dallas this March 2025, European Heli Center (EHC) and Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH (REISER) have officially kicked off their joint project with a first project meeting held at REISER’s headquarters in Berg, Bavaria.

This meeting marks the operational launch of a project that will bring a world-class H135/H145 Level D full-flight simulator to EHC’s upcoming training center at Lelystad Airport, near Amsterdam. The device will support multi-mission pilot and crew training for civilian, commercial, EMS, military, and offshore operations.

Set in the picturesque surroundings of the Sternberger See, the teams came together for productive discussions and shared planning. More than a symbolic gathering, this marked the first formal project milestone, outlining key technical steps, timelines, and collaboration structures to successfully bring the simulator into operation.

A Shared Vision for Advanced Helicopter Training The Level D full-flight simulator, featuring REISER’s proven roll-on/roll-off platform, will allow training on both H135 and H145 aircraft models within one device. This flexibility ensures maximum training efficiency and a future-ready solution for EHC’s expanding operations.

“We truly enjoyed hosting EHC at our home base in Berg,” said Dr. Thomas Nicolay, CSO of REISER Simulation and Training. “The collaborative spirit and shared purpose set the tone for what we believe will be a highly successful partnership.”

Aircraft Manufacturer Embraer Forecasts Demand for 10,500 Regional Aircraft by 2044

  • Embraer expects demand for 10,500 sub-150-seat jets and turboprops within the next 20 years for the market in general
  • Value of new orders US$680 billion
  • China will lead annual RPK growth
  • North America will lead jet aircraft deliveries

Global –Embraer has published Market Outlook 2025, its annual 20-year forecast for commercial aircraft deliveries in the sub-150-seat category.

Market Outlook 2025 estimates 10,500 orders for new jets and turboprops through 2044. It also presents analyses of global influences and trends in seven world regions that impact the demand for new aircraft. Because of its growing prominence in commercial aviation, statistics for China are detailed separately in this year’s Market Outlook for the first time.

The document also analyzes demand for cargo aircraft, including a forecast for passenger-to-freighter conversions.

The overall forecast for the number of new sub-150-seat aircraft remains almost unchanged from Embraer’s previous estimate. Arjan Meijer, Embraer President and CEO of Commercial Aviation, attributes the consistency of the estimate to the longevity of social, supply chain, and geopolitical trends Embraer identified during the pandemic.

Five years after the onset of the pandemic, many of the structural changes it triggered have proven to be quite long lasting. In our first post-pandemic Market Outlook, we highlighted the transition from globalization to a more polarized geopolitical outlook. Today, as countries and regions pursue greater strategic autonomy, the demand for regional access will continue to grow. We believe mixed fleets that combine small and large narrowbody aircraft are essential for that long-term growth. They provide the versatility needed to better match capacity with demand, expand networks, and support national and regional development goals.
