The day was filled with activities such as flight planning, simulator, tours of both the ATCA room and the airfield, and a flight on the academy’s Cirrus.

Elixir Aircraft, a fast-growing training aircraft manufacturer headquartered in La Rochelle, France, has delivered its 25th aircraft.
Elixir Aircraft is also deploying two aircraft to EAA AirVenture, the world’s largest airshow, held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States. This year marks Elixir Aircraft’s third consecutive appearance at EAA AirVenture, and the company is returning with a larger booth, an expanded team, and renewed enthusiasm following the recent announcement that by the end of 2024, their U.S. site will be operational at Sarasota Bradenton Airport (SRQ). A 12,500 sq ft hangar will be dedicated to the initial reassembly of aircraft delivered to Elixir’s American customers. A second 6,000 sq ft building will be handed over in August 2025, to continue reassembly and maintain a stock of spare parts for the US East Coast.
Moreover, to speed up deliveries, Elixir’s second site in La Rochelle is now opened in the city of Aytré for the production of OneShot composite parts. Elixir Aircraft now has 3 sites in Europe and America.

Avion, a manufacturer and operator of full-flight simulators, has shared that Avion Full Flight Simulators’ Sales Manager Michiel Verdonk will attend the Pilot Careers Live on July 13 at the Concorde Conference Centre in Manchester, United Kingdom. He will promote the Avion Flight Training Centre in Luton, which operates an Airbus A320 full flight simulator, and meet with new and existing clients.

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing unveiled the first Newton Flight Academy in Germany located in Brandenburg. The academy has three full-motion flight simulators and a laboratory for hands-on STEM learning.
“Together with Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (CHESCO) and FIRST Scandinavia we’re fostering a new generation of innovators and problem-solvers,” said Boeing.
“Thank you U.S. Ambassador Amy Gutmann and Dr. Woidke, Minister President, Federal State of Brandenburg, for joining us at the opening,” added Boeing.
Newton Flight Academy is a pioneering flight training facility, blending advanced simulators, modern technology, and all-encompassing educational programs to craft an integrated learning journey for aspiring pilots. The academy aspires to inspire and prepare the upcoming generation of aviators, furnishing them with necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in aviation.
