L3Harris Airline Academy’s Partnership with University Provides Students with Pilot Training Financing Option

L3Harris Airline Academy in the United Kingdom has partnered with the University of Central Lancashire to create the unique Bsc (Hons) Aviation Pilot Programme with ATPL. This programme offers the full ATPL syllabus as well as an aviation degree. The addition of the degree allows students to borrow up to £61,098 in student funding to help with the cost of training. Upon graduation from ATPL, cadets gain the opportunity to be employed by esteemed airlines such as British Airways and earn an attractive salary. Experienced pilots can expect to earn over £140,000.

An average of 25 L3Harris-trained pilots employed every month of 2024 until April.

As of March 31st, 74 L3Harris-trained pilots have secured their dream job in this year. That’s a 20% increase in employment when comparing the same dates in 2022. Students have found employment with some of the most prominent airlines in the continent including:

  • easyJet
  • British Airways
  • Ryanair
  • TUI
  • Wizz Air

Back in October 2023 L3Harris Airline Academy announced that following a recent visit by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), they have once again been rated as ‘exceeding expectations’.
