New Zealand’s Nelson Aviation College Appoints Thomas Piercy as Flight Operations Officer
New Zealand – Nelson Aviation College (NAC) has appointed Thomas Piercy as its new Flight Operations Officer. With a background in flight instruction and operational management, Piercy brings experience and a strategic approach to flight training operations.
- Piercy began his aviation career in 2014, completing his training in 2016 before working as a flight instructor.
- As Flight Operations Officer, he is responsible for overseeing daily flight operations, ensuring safety, managing resources, and supporting both students and instructors.
- He takes a holistic approach to flight operations, balancing day-to-day needs with NAC’s broader strategic goals.
- His focus includes fostering a supportive learning environment, addressing individual student needs, and enhancing overall training quality.
1978 established New Zealand flight training organisation Nelson Aviation College, offers a wide range of courses including Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Basic Gas Turbine, and Instrument Rating, and back in October 2023 Nelson Aviation College shared that it had partnered with flight simulator manufacturer True Course Simulations (TCS) and took delivery of the flight school’s first TCS Immersive Training Device (ITD).
