Arizona, USA – Upset Prevention and Recovery Training provider Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) has announced Max Chinnah as the recipient of its 2025 APS UPRT Scholarship. Chinnah, a student pursuing a degree in Aviation Studies, will receive specialized UPRT training and mentorship designed to advance safety and skill in the aviation industry.

Leeds, United Kingdom – Leisure airline Jet2.com and integrated tour operator Jet2holidays have launched a fully funded pilot training programme, Jet2FlightPath, aiming to train and recruit up to 60 new pilots in its first year.

  • Jet2FlightPath is a fully funded Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) training programme open to up to 60 aspiring pilots in 2025

  • The training, valued over £100,000 per candidate, is fully financed by Jet2.com to increase accessibility and support diversity in pilot recruitment

  • Training will be delivered in partnership with Skyborne Airline Academy, Leading Edge Aviation, and FTE Jerez, with locations in the UK, Spain, and the US

  • Eligible applicants require five GCSEs (or equivalent), including maths and a science subject

  • Successful candidates will undergo 18 months of training, followed by a Type Rating on either Airbus or Boeing aircraft

  • Graduates will also receive operational exposure through roles in Cabin Crew and Ground Operations as part of the training

  • Jet2.com, the UK’s third-largest airline, currently employs over 1,800 pilots and plans to operate up to 135 aircraft in Summer 2025 from 13 UK bases
