FTEJerez Selected as Training Provider for Jet2.com’s Fully Funded Pilot Training Programme
Jerez, Spain – FTEJerez is proud to announce its selection as one of only three ATOs chosen to deliver Jet2FlightPath, Jet2.com’s newly launched fully funded pilot training programme. This initiative will offer up to 60 aspiring pilots the opportunity to qualify as commercial airline pilots for Jet2.com in the first year of the programme – with the cost of flight training covered by the airline.
FTEJerez is honoured to partner with Jet2.com as part of this exciting initiative. Selected candidates will undertake an intensive Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) course, approved by the UK CAA, at FTE’s state-of-the-art campus in Jerez, Spain.
Following successful completion of the Integrated ATPL course, graduates will progress to a Type Rating course on either Airbus or Boeing aircraft, before joining Jet2.com as commercial pilots. Throughout their training journey, candidates will also gain valuable insights into Jet2.com’s customer service ethos through hands-on exposure to key operational areas.
Jet2FlightPath is a major investment by Jet2.com in the future of its flight operations, designed to develop a highly skilled, diverse, and committed pilot workforce. The programme combines professional pilot training with early immersion into Jet2.com’s operational culture, providing a clear and supported route from training to the flight deck.

The programme has been carefully developed to attract the highest calibre of aspiring pilots and to support Jet2.com’s continued growth as one of the UK’s leading leisure airlines. With inclusivity at its heart, Jet2FlightPath removes traditional barriers to entry and is open to candidates from all backgrounds, subject to entry criteria that include five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including Maths, English and a Science subject).
Successful applicants will undertake an 18-month fully funded Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) course at one of Jet2.com’s partner training locations in the UK or Spain, starting later this year. After completing their ATPL training, candidates will progress to Type Rating training on either Airbus or Boeing aircraft before joining Jet2.com’s growing team of professional pilots.
As part of Jet2FlightPath, trainees will gain early insight into the values and operations of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, with exposure to customer-facing roles such as Cabin Crew and Ground Operations. This immersive approach reflects the airline’s award-winning culture, which has earned it a Which? Recommended Provider status for ten consecutive years.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all CAMO activities to comply with GCAA and organizational standards

Develop and implement training, manpower planning, and competency frameworks for CAMO staff

Establish and maintain Approved Maintenance Programs (AMP) in accordance with CAR M.302

Oversee reliability programs to measure AMP effectiveness and drive improvements

Manage maintenance planning (short, medium, and long term) to ensure fleet readiness

Interpret and apply mandatory airworthiness data, modifications, and service bulletins

Maintain aircraft configuration records, software versions, and weight/balance status

Ensure secure technical records archiving and timely updates

Maintain up-to-date technical publications and subscriptions

Oversee airworthiness reviews and documentation for aircraft induction/removal

Candidate Requirements

Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 10 years in aircraft engineering, including 6+ years in CAMO or technical services

Experience in fleet management, AMP development, reliability, planning, and technical records

Prior engineering management experience; nomination as a regulatory post holder is advantageous
