New Smyrna Beach, Florida, United States – The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) has announced a $35,000 scholarship opportunity for aspiring aircraft maintenance technicians to enroll in Epic Flight Academy’s FAA-certified Part 147 Aircraft Mechanic Program. This initiative aims to support underrepresented individuals pursuing careers in aviation maintenance.

The $35,000 scholarship is designated for OBAP members who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, at least 18 years old by program completion, and proficient in English. Applicants must be able to commence training within 12 months of receiving the scholarship and complete it within 24 months.

The scholarship applies to Epic Flight Academy’s Aircraft Mechanic Program, which spans approximately 19 months and is conducted at their New Smyrna Beach, Florida campus.
