Flight Simulator Manufacturer Simnest Completes Qualification of A320 Simulator for Denmark’s CAPA
Denmark – Simnest Aviation, a simulator manufacturer, announced the successful qualification of Center Air Pilot Academy’s (CAPA) new Simnest A320 FNPT II MCC simulator by the Danish Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This marks the fourth Simnest simulator qualified by the Danish CAA, further strengthening its position in the pilot training industry.
- The A320 FNPT II MCC simulator was praised by the Danish CAA for its high-fidelity design, realistic flight characteristics, and behavior.
- Simnest emphasized the type-representative nature of its simulators, designed to help cadets accelerate their progression to airlines.

Hillsboro Aero Academy is hiring a Maintenance Manager to oversee production, safety, and quality standards for its Part 145 Repair Station. The academy operates a diverse fleet, including Cessna, Piper, and Robinson Helicopters, flying over 80,000 hours annually. This role is critical to ensuring efficient maintenance operations and compliance with FAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure shop productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Oversee maintenance of training aircraft (Cessna and Piper)
- Assign jobs, manage workloads, and schedule maintenance, repairs, and projects
- Provide technical support to mechanics and flight school students
- Coordinate off-site repairs with staff and vendors
- Forecast and plan scheduled maintenance for the fleet
- Maintain shop cleanliness and manage interaction with dispatch staff
- Spend 70% of time on the shop floor
Candidate Requirements
Required
- FAA A&P Certificate
- At least 2 years of experience working with similar piston aircraft
- General aviation piston airplane and helicopter experience in a production shop
- Experience working in a Part 145 Repair Station
- Proven leadership ability
Preferred
- FAA IA Certificate
- 5+ years of experience with the same fleet type
- Experience supervising employees in a shop environment
