Jordan – flight training organisation Royal Jordanian Air Academy (RJAA) has appointed Captain Aydam Al Turk as its new Chief Ground Instructor.

Captain Aydam Al Turk will lead RJAA’s team of Aviation Theoretical Instructors and oversee the modernisation of training methodologies, enhancement of aviation knowledge delivery, and elevation of student discipline and “aviators‑like” attitudes.

The appointment aligns with RJAA’s transformation strategy to “reinstate the longstanding legacy” of the academy, which has operated since 1966 and promotes itself as the “Home of Aviators”.

- 3-year Bachelor of Aviation degree recognized across Europe and in 47 countries through the Bologna Process (ECTS credits) at a cost of 120.000 € (113.100 € for PPL).

Mr Davidson highlighted AeroGuard’s interest and passion to support the development of the Indian flight training infrastructure and emphasizing the crucial role of transfer of knowledge initiatives through the development of Indian flight training industry professionals by international pilot training groups.
The session brought together leaders from flight training organizations (FTOs) such as AeroGuard Flight Training Center and Chimes Aviation Academy, airlines such as IndiGo, advanced pilot training groups such as CAE and Simaero and the Indian regulator DGCA, highlighting the need to focus on human capital development and retention within the pilot training ecosystem.

Germany – Lufthansa Aviation Training Group (LAT) is seeking to appoint a Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) at its Laage training base in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and ensure training quality standards for all student groups, overseeing the content, timing, and structure of practical flight instruction.
- Train, evaluate, and certify new flight instructors in accordance with both EASA and FAA regulatory requirements applicable to the Laage site.
- Ensure full compliance with safety-related rules and regulations governing LAT’s flight operations and flight training activities.
- Lead team meetings and instructor coordination sessions to align operational and pedagogical objectives.
- Manage and document regulated work processes to maintain optimal instructional consistency and operational efficiency across LAT’s flight training network.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with Flight Instructor (FI(A)) and Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) credentials. Multi-Engine Instructor (CRI MEP) authorization is desirable.
- Several years of instructional experience with a proven record of safety and instructional excellence.
- In-depth understanding of EASA Part FCL, Part ORA, Part ARA, and relevant U.S. aviation laws.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to foster an environment of high performance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent proficiency in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
