Turkey – Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA), the flight training group subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has announced remarkable growth over the past five years. The academy has expanded its operational capacity threefold and significantly increased its annual flight hours to 68,000 in 2024.
The academy currently trains 281 pilots annually, with plans to increase this figure to graduate 350 by 2026.
“The academy’s growth demonstrates our dedication to excellence in pilot training and our mission to support Turkish Airlines’ expanding global operations,” stated a spokesperson for Turkish Airlines Flight Academy.
TAFA announced the addition of three new aircraft to its training fleet in December 2024. The latest acquisitions bring the academy’s total fleet size to 48 aircraft, enhancing its capacity for advanced flight training.
