South African Flight School Adopts Versatile Generic ALX Simulator from ALSIM

South Africa & France – ALSIM, a leading innovator in certified flight simulation devices, hosted the team from Stick n Throttle Aviation, a flight training school in South Africa, at its Nantes facility this week for hands‑on training with the new ALSIM ALX simulator, ahead of its installation at Stick n Throttle in October 2025.

In June 2025, ALSIM announced that Stick n Throttle Aviation invested in an ALSIM ALX simulator.

Sanford, Florida, USA – Acron Aviation Academy, the United States based flight training base of Acron Aviation, has welcomed its latest cohort of eight (8) cadets from All Nippon Airways (ANA).

Back in February 2023 L3Harris Technologies announced its selection by Japan’s largest airline, All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd., to train its next generation of pilots. The agreement builds on a decades-long pilot training and simulator relationship between L3Harris and one of ANA’s subsidiaries, Peach Aviation. That training relationship then expanded as L3Harris provides pilot training for All Nippon Airways and its group airlines. Since then L3Harris Technologies pilot training portfolio rebranded to Acron Aviation.

Global Flight Training Group Skyborne Welcomes 50th Integrate Course Batch

Global – Skyborne, which operates flight training bases in the United Kingdom and the United States, welcomed in the UK their 50th Cadet Pilot 50 (CP50) integrated training cohort. The batch comprising 22 new students on Skyborne’s airline-focused Integrated ATPL programme.

Just last month Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline group, had officially launched its Future Flyer Academy pilot training programme in the UK in partnership with Skyborne Airline Academy. The initiative aims to train over 400 cadets over the next four years, offering them a direct route into Second Officer positions within the Ryanair Group.

  • The programme delivers dual-licence training (UK CAA and EASA) integrated with Ryanair’s standard operating procedures and operational philosophy.
  • Skyborne cadets will undergo training in the UK and the US, including single- and multi-engine training, and an Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) course.

  • The training is delivered at Skyborne’s facilities in Gloucestershire, Bournemouth, and Vero Beach, Florida.

Skyborne base in the United Kingdom has graduated more than 350 trainees, with over 160 current cadets already tagged by leading UK airlines upon recruitment.
