Indian Airline restarts hiring for Boeing 737NG

Jet Airways, which has been not active in the past few years, is gearing up to start operations again and has announced that it is actively looking for Pilot Trainers, Captains and First Officers for its fleet of B737NG Aircraft. It has a preference for already B737NG Type Rated Pilots.

Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy based in Hyderabad, India is looking for a CGI (Chief Ground Instructor).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Chief Ground Instructor (CGI) is responsible to the Accountable Manager (AM) for all aspects of Ground School training, as per DGCA guidelines.
  • CGI in addition to conducting classes shall be responsible for the supervision of all Ground Instructors.
  • CGI shall be responsible for standardization of all ground training in coordination with the Ground Instructors.
  • Continuous development of Training standards.
  • Planning and implementing the scheduled program of Ground Training.
  • Ensure all instructors prepare the lesson plan and follow accordingly.
  • Supervision of ground classes conducted by GIs from time to time.
  • Maintenance of training records
  • Programming of student for ground examinations in coordination with Ground Instructors.
  • Monitoring of students’ progress.

Qualification

  • Held or Holder of CPL or ATPL
  • Or, QFI/QNI/Pilot/Navigator from Defense/Paramilitary Services
  • Or, Air Navigation Instructors from Defense Services
  • Or, Holder of Flight Navigator’s License
  • Or, Degree or equivalent in Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics/Communication Engineering
  • Or, Qualified Air Traffic Controller

Preferably has undergone an Instructor Techniques Course.

Experience

  • A Ground Instructor having a minimum TWO YEARS teaching experience with a Flight Training Organization (FTO)/ Defence Aviation Training Organisation/ Airports Authority of India (AAI) Aviation Training Organization, within the last 10 years.
    The approval of CGI shall be subject to DGCA approval, for a particular FTO till she/he is medically fit.
