The installation marks a significant milestone for Avion, representing the first of six Full Flight Simulators planned for the Avion Flight Training Centre in Mumbai. The second Full Flight Simulator has also arrived at the facility, and installation shall be undertaken shortly. The centre will also be equipped with a Fixed Base FNPT II-MCC for A320 in April 2025.
Designed with sustainability at its core, the device consumes minimal energy while maintaining exceptional performance. This aligns with Avion‘s vision of offering environmentally friendly and cost-efficient training solutions. The Mumbai training centre is expected to become a cornerstone for aviation training in the region.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality flight, simulator, and ground instruction to students while promoting professional behavior and strict adherence to safety standards and aviation regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Current Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- Assistant Flight Instructor (AFI) Rating (mandatory)
- Endorsement on DA-40 aircraft (required)
- No aircraft accident or aviation violation convictions
- Previous experience as a trainer or teacher is advantageous
- Familiarity with MS Word and MS Outlook
Key Duties
- Provide practical and simulator flight instruction per CAE Global Academy standards
- Monitor and assist students to ensure satisfactory progress within course timelines
- Promote and model professional and safe behavior as per CAE’s Safety Management System
- Complete student and flight-related records accurately and on time
- Attend instructor development meetings, open days, and trade shows as required
- Identify and suggest improvements to training standards and safety practices

New Delhi, India – Air India has announced the appointment of Captain Basil Kwauk as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO), effective January 2025.
