Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates based aviation and pilot training center Etihad Aviation Training, is currently seeking a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor for their Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) program.

“TKIs conduct training courses and programs required to satisfy the training and licensing requirements for Etihad Aviation Training Students flight crew members, instructors, and examiners, as mandated by the regulatory Authority, and in accordance with the policies, procedures and programs specified in the relevant Training Manuals and Operations Manual Part D.

– Conduct Etihad Aviation Training Theory training, to ensure that all applicable regulatory requirements and company objectives are satisfied.
– Conduct relevant training programs, to ensure that the highest levels of training quality and standardization are achieved.
– To ensure on-going coordination with the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor, and that any issues raised concerning the conduct of training assigned cadets are appropriately addressed and resolved.
– Conduct full-time instructional activities at Etihad Aviation Training to ensure currentย and up-to-date training protocols are incorporated within the training regimen and trainees receive the highest level of training standard.
– Ensure that the approved lesson plans are delivered as scripted, and according to the company standards.
– Monitoring the progress of assigned trainees, in particular those subject to reports of progress problems.
– Responsible and accountable for identifying safety risks in accordance with the Etihad Aviation Training risk assessment process, and ensuring that adequate risk mitigation steps are appropriately implemented in order to assure safety within the workplace.

– Secondary school completion (A-Level or equivalent) (College degree an advantage).
– Minimum 3 year of experience delivering theoretical knowledge instructions preferably at an EASA/GCAA approved ATO conducting integrated ATPL/MPL courses.
– Possesses appropriate operational Knowledge and background in the subjects to be taught.
– Meet other applicable GCAA regulatory requirements as outlined in CAR-FCL and CAR-ORA relating to the specified position.
– Hold or have held a professional pilots license (an Advantage)”

- Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, and Cabin Services to ensure consistency across flight and cabin crew standards, while also participating in the performance evaluation and career development of pilots.
- Review and update operational manuals and safety procedures, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Liaise with external bodies such as regulatory authorities and aircraft manufacturers to ensure fleet performance and safety.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Appropriate ATPL License is a must.
- Bachelor degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Management or equivalent is an advantage.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential โ a formal qualification is an advantage.
- Basic Airport, security procedures and regulations related training is a must.
- Training in IATA principles & standards relating to security is highly desirable.
- Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting and Quality Assurance certificates and trainings are an added value and some may be treated as conditional for this role.
- Proficient in using aircraft systems; proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet and Web Search.
- Excellent in written and verbal communication skills, Technical reports writings presentations, etc.
- Fluent in English, Arabic and French languages are advantages.”

Australia headquartered global operator of pilot simulator training centres since the mid 1980s, Ansett Aviation Training (AAT), held a launch event to celebrate the ready for training status of its brand new Airbus A320 ceo/neo full flight simulator in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Industry leaders attended the launch event including Mikail Houari, President of Airbus Africa and Middle East and Capt. Ahmed Shanan, Chairman and CEO of Air Cairo. The launch event also saw attendance from key Ansett Aviation Training partners including Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub and the team from Dynamic Advanced Training.
The device will support the pilot training activities of Airbus operators such as close airline partners like Air Cairo. Ansett Aviation Training launched the new Middle East training centre at the end of 2023 to further expand its global training centre footprint which already includes pilot training centres in Australia, Italy and Taiwan. The strategic location of the Dubai training centre, located a few minutesโ drive from Al Maktoum International Airport, provides airlines with training infrastructure that is easily accessible from all parts of the globe. The training center already houses a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certified ATR72-600 full flight simulator.
