Global Pilot Training Solution Provider Welcomes 2 Regional Airlines to Florida, US Flight Training Academy

L3harris Flight Academy, located in Sanford, Florida, United States, welcomed GoJet and Atlas Air to share their pilot career pathways with students in training.

During the visit, GoJet CEO Rick Leach and his team were on our campus and shared how students can benefit from GoJet’s career pathway, the Wingman Program. The Program provides promising pilots an internship at GoJet while they build flight time. Program participants become GoJet First Officers upon completion of ATP minimums.

Moreover, Atlas Air was on site to share information with the students about life as an Atlas pilot.

“Through our relationships with airlines, such as GoJet and Atlas, across the United States, students at L3Harris Flight Academy benefit from rewarding careers and pathways to legacy and major airlines such as American, Delta and United,” said L3Harris.

Simulator Manufacturer Entrol Provides Simulators to CAE Defense & Security for the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Rotary Wing, Introductory Flight Training

Spain headquartered flight simulator manufacturer Entrol has delivered three Bell 505 configured simulators to CAE Defense & Security in support of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Rotary Wing (IFT-R), Introductory Flight Training at the CAE Dothan Training Center.

Entrol was subcontracted to deliver two H1000 Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) devices with the Bell 505 configuration and one Bell 505-based Flight Training Device (FTD) Level 5 unit. The simulators are equipped with a full G1000H replica developed by Entrol, making the transition from the simulator to the real helicopter as smooth as possible.

CAE was awarded the USAF Rotary Wing, Introductory Flight Training in June 2023 to support the U.S. Air Education and Training Command and provide critical flight training to USAF student pilots as part of the Helicopter Training Next program. The program supports the training of all initial USAF rotary-wing air, ground, and simulation training.

“Entrol is proud to manufacture these devices for CAE Defense & Security to support the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Rotary Wing. We believe these devices will enhance their training and security,” says Luis Olarte, Entrol’s CEO and Co-Founder.

“The IFT-R program is a significant flight training program focused on improving safety and training efficiency for the next generation of rotary wing pilots,” says Merrill Stoddard, CAE Defense & Security, Vice President and General Manager USA. “Leveraging the capabilities of industry, we continue to enhance training and mission readiness to deliver a global training experience.”

Flight Simulator Manufacturer Ryan Aerospace Ships 500th Flight Simulator

Australia based flight simulator manufacturer Ryan Aerospace has achieved a milestone, shipping its 500th flight simulator. From humble beginnings, Ryan Aerospace started producing rotary wing simulators in 2005 and later ventured into the fixed-wing flight training market. Whilst traditional, certified simulators are part of Ryan’s product offering, virtual and mixed reality technologies have taken the company to the next level, making Ryan a global leader in its field.

The U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Army are the top customers of Ryan Aerospace, installing hundreds of devices around the U.S. in support of pilot training transformation (PTT) / undergraduate pilot training (UPT2.5), aviator training next (ATN) and fighter bomber fundamentals to name just a few.

Significant sales have also occurred in Australia, Europe and the Middle East. Other key customers and users include prime contractors such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky, BAE Systems, CAE, Airbus Helicopters, EDMS as well as regulatory authorities such as the FAA.

Managing Director Chris Ryan said he was thrilled to reach this milestone and very proud of his small but growing team operating out of its Gold Coast Facility in Australia.

“In the meantime, we’re straight back at it with another seventy or so simulators to go out the door in the next two months”, he added.

“We look forward to continuing the work we are doing with Prime working with Vertex Solutions (USA) and Precision Flight Controls (USA) who have been instrumental partners in many of these projects.”
