South African FFS Training Center ALT Academy and Africa Charter AIrline Announce Strategic Collaboration to Strengthen Pilot Training and Cabin Crew Pathways

South Africa – full flight simulator training center and pilot training group ALT Academy is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with Africa Charter Airlines (ACA) to enhance pilot training, instructor development, and cabin crew experience pathways. This partnership is designed to support ACA’s operational needs while creating a sustainable pipeline of highly trained aviation professionals.

  • Pilot Instructor Secondment: ALT will employ instructors and second them to ACA as needed, managing all contracts and compliance. Instructors will maintain CAT I and CAT Ill currency, ensuring ACA access to a flexible, highly qualified instructor pool.
  • Training and Development: This arrangement offers ACA seamless scheduling, consistent standards, and access to the full ALT instructor network.
  • Cabin Crew Collaboration: ALT will provide ACA with licensed crew through 3-month rotational internships, giving crew vital operational experience while strengthening ACA’s operations.

A Shared Vision for Aviation

This collaboration lays the foundation for a long-term partnership focused on:

  • Establishing a pipeline from ab-initio training to captaincy.

Full Flight Simulator Manufacturer HAVELSAN Achieves Another EASA Recurrent Certification For Its Boeing 737 Max Full Flight Simulator

Türkiye – simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN is proud to announce that its Boeing 737 MAX full flight simulator has successfully renewed its EASA certification this September.

In 2023, HAVELSAN made headlines by achieving the EASA Level D certification for its two Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulators that have been delivered to Turkish Airlines. Today’s renewed certifications demonstrate that this success was not a one-time achievement, but rather a testament to HAVELSAN’s long-term vision and its growing reputation as a trusted global partner, delivering reliable and sustainable training solutions.

This marks the second HAVELSAN 737 MAX simulator to receive EASA recurrent certification. Similar to this achievement, HAVELSAN’s other 737 MAX simulator that has been delivered to Turkish Airlines was certified in April 2025.

Earlier this year in June, HAVELSAN announced that Turkish Airlines has placed a follow-on order of another Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator to be delivered in January 2026 – read more here. This expands the agreement signed with HAVELSAN in 2018, Turkish Airlines originally planned to procure a total of eleven training devices consisting of three A320neo/ceo, two B737 MAX Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and six Flight Training Devices (FTD).

In addition to manufacturing Boeing flight simulator’s HAVELSAN also operates Boeing flight devices with an example being its training center partnership with Turkish Airlines which operates Boeing devices in Ankara since 2023.

The HAVELSAN team is immensely proud of the impact that its training devices are having on the Boeing operators in Turkiye and is actively working on expanding this impact to airlines and training centers around the globe.
