UK Based Full Flight Simulator Training Center Signs Agreement to Purchase ProSim A322 Cockpilot Procedure Trainer
Full flight simulator training center Quadrant Pilot, based in Burgess Hill, United Kingdom and ProSim Training Solutions (ProSim), with its headquarters in Delft, the Netherlands (part of TXT group) are proud to announce their strengthened partnership as they signed an agreement for the purchase of a Skalarki built ProSimA322 Cockpit Procedures Trainer which will be equipped with the ProSim Virtual Instruction XR tool (ViXR). This agreement was finalised at Farnborough Airshow 2024, where ProSim participated as part of TXT Aerospace & Defence.
As a well-established flight training centre and already-existing user of the ProSimA322 FMS Trainers, Quadrant Pilot is at the forefront of implementing training technologies which optimise the training footprint for their airline customers and students.
Hanne Koole, Managing Director of ProSim Training Solutions comments: “We thank Simon Bill and Quadrant Pilot for their continued partnership and trust as the basis for the delivery of training equipment that is ready for the future. We look forward to keep contributing to the continued success of Quadrant Pilot as a provider of quality and value for money training for their airline customers.”
The A322 Cockpit Procedures Trainer (CPT) is a full tactile but open cockpit structure which can be placed in classroom environments for high fidelity training of all normal and abnormal procedures prior to entering the Full Motion Simulators (FFS). The time saved per student (time otherwise spent on the FFS) makes for a very rapid return on investment.
Simon Bill, Managing Director at Quadrant Pilot adds: “We are very pleased to acquire the Cockpit Procedures Trainer from Pro Sim which will be a fantastic additional training tool for our airline type rating trainees. At Quadrant we continue to strive to provide a premium training product by using the optimum blend of training tools, carefully developed courseware and best in class instructors and working with suppliers such as Pro Sim help to achieve this goal.”
The additional Virtual Instruction XR tool (ViXR) adds even more efficiency to the CPT by enabling normal and ab-normal procedures to be taught initially without an instructor and at the student’s own pace by using a Hololens 2 in combination with the CPT.
