Global Pilot Training Solution Provider, L3Harris, Supports Air Astana’s Growing Training Capacity with 2nd A320neo Full Flight Simulator

L3Harris is pleased to announce that it has secured a contract with Air Astana JSC to supply its Flight Training Centre with an Airbus A320neo Full Flight Simulator (FFS). This state-of-the-art training device will enter service in the second half of 2025. Located at the Air Astana Flight Training Centre at Astana International Airport it will provide Central Asia’s largest airline, and its subsidiary FlyArystan, with increased capacity to fulfill its growing Airbus pilot training requirements. The A320neo FFS will hold both EASA and local Level D regulatory approvals, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The latest device will be the carrier’s second A320neo FFS from L3Harris. The first was delivered in 2023 and was the first FFS for Air Astana and the first FFS device installed in Kazakhstan.

Ben Swann, VP and General Manager for Training Systems at L3Harris said: “This A320neo represents a significant milestone in our partnership with Air Astana. We are proud that an L3Harris device was the first FFS to be installed in Kazakhstan and this second device shows the region’s leading airline have confidence in our technology and team. It will empower Air Astana to increase training capacity across its rapidly expanding fleet of A320 family aircraft.

To support the new FFS, L3Harris will provide 24/7 aftermarket support for spares, repairs, and future updates. This comprehensive support will ensure the device performs optimally throughout its operational lifespan.
