Air India Chairman and CEO Visit Training Academy, Inaugurate New Facilities in July 2024
Gurugram, India – India’s flag carrier Air India Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran and CEO Campbell Wilson visited the Air India Training Academy in July 2024.
“They interacted with our ab initio and line crew trainees during their visit. The tour included our advanced Cabin Crew Classrooms, SEP and Service Training, the thoughtfully designed Style and Image Room, and the tech-enabled IED Model Room for AVSEC Training. Demonstrations of our Fire & Smoke Trainer and A350 Door Trainer were also showcased. Furthermore, the Chairman inaugurated our newly built, state-of-the-art 150+ seater auditorium and attended the graduation ceremony of our distinguished cabin crew batch TAI 243.” shared Air India Training Academy.

Global Pilot Training Solution Provider L3Harris FFS Enters into Service at Japanese Airline’s Training Centre
L3Harris, a global leader in the manufacture of flight training devices, has had its Reality7e Boeing 787-9 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) approved by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB). This marks two significant milestones for the business: the first Reality7e simulator to be approved by JCAB, opening the door to future Reality7e devices in the country, and the first Reality7e device provided to ANA.
The 787-9 entered service in the second week of July at ANA’s pilot training center in Tokyo, bringing ANA’s total number of L3Harris 787 devices to five, increasing the airlines training capacity and enabling it to meet demand for pilot training on its 787 fleet.
L3Harris’s advanced training and simulation solutions will play a pivotal role in ensuring ANA meets the highest standards of pilot training.

Ankara, Turkiye headquartered flight simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN announced that another HAVELSAN constructed full flight simulator (FFS), an Airbus A320 operated by IFTC, a member company of Gözen Holding, has achieved European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D certification.
IFTC is Turkey’s premier independent simulator training center, offering an outstanding training environment across two continents with centers in Istanbul and Antalya. Both facilities operate five Full Flight Simulators (FFS) for Airbus A320 and Boeing B737NG aircraft. Internationally renowned, IFTC provides exceptional support to numerous airlines and ATOs, meeting their pilot training needs with unparalleled precision and excellence.
In May this year IFTC announced their 6th full flight simulator order for a HAVELSAN manufactured Airbus A320 neo/CEO FFS with three engine options which showcase HAVELSAN’s ability to support pilot training centers with industry leading flexible and quick solutions for training equipment. The installation and testing of the device were accomplished within approximately 50 days and the device received EASA Level D certification and was ready for training status on the 13th of July.
HAVELSAN is passionate about supporting IFTC in expanding its pilot training infrastructure and enhancing Türkiye’s status as a leading global pilot training hub by providing additional training equipment to ensure the highest quality and efficient training capacity.

This confidence was reinforced during the transportation, installation, and EASA Level D certification process, which was completed in under two months. During the month of May another HAVELSAN manufactured Airbus A320 full flight simulator also received the first EASA certification in 2024 – with the device being operated by an airline in Turkey.

HAVELSAN is currently actively seeking additional airline or training center operators to share information about its products and the unique offering that it can provide.

“These state-of-the-art simulators will enhance our training capabilities, providing our trainees with the best tools and technology in the industry,” said FJAA.
Fiji Airways Aviation Academy, owned by Fiji’s flag carrier Fiji Airway’s is undergoing a multi-million-dollar expansion to develop a fully fledge training academy in Nadi. The expansion in the pipeline is set to include a new fourth full flight simulator bay, a three-story safety and service training building for the cabin crew, and even an apartment-style accommodation block complete with a restaurant, gym, and swimming pool.
With an expected completion date of 2026, the academy is set to become a regional leader in pilot and cabin crew training.
