Global Aviation Training Solution Provider CAE Launches Multi Maintenance Aircraft License Training Program

Malaysia – CAE Kuala Lumpur (CAE KL) celebrated the grand launch of MYAero Nexus Talent 2025 and officially inaugurated its new Multi Maintenance Aircraft License (MML) Training Program during a milestone event attended by key figures from the Malaysian aerospace and government sectors.

  • The ceremony was attended by YB Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), Prof. Ts. Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah, CEO of the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO Malaysia), and Kevin Foo, Area General Manager of CAE Kuala Lumpur.
  • The collaboration between NAICO Malaysia and CAE Kuala Lumpur was highlighted as a key factor in the success of the event.
  • The initiatives are aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s aerospace sector by enhancing technical training opportunities and workforce development.

The 5-year full time training program, featuring basic and type training at CAE Kuala Lumpur and our esteemed international partner. Upon successful completion the basic training, candidates will receive certifications from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), as well as a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance. Candidates will then undergo type rating training under CAAM certification to become qualified engineers for the industry.” shared CAE.

CAE is Seeking to Hire a Head of Training in 2025 to Oversee 16 European Training Centers

Europe – CAE is hiring an EMEA Head of Training for its Commercial Aviation Training (CAT) centres across Europe. This senior leadership position oversees training delivery at 16 European centres, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

  • We are looking for a dynamic leader who will report to the Director of Operations & Deputy Accountable Manager for the CAT Approved Training Organisation (ATO).
  • This role can be based in any of our CAT centres in Europe – ideally Gatwick, Amsterdam, Madrid, Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm or Milan – you will need to be prepared to be in the office at least 3 days per week and be flexible to travel 30-35% of your time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent CAE EMEA from an ATO organizational point of view

  • Lead regional training delivery functions under EASA and UK CAA standards

  • Manage a team of 6–10 direct reports plus indirect training staff

  • Oversee training staff resourcing and qualification

  • Monitor compliance with ATO Operating and Training Manuals (OM and TM)

  • Set and report on Training Delivery KPIs

  • Develop and optimize ATO policies and processes

  • Collaborate with Operations, Training Center leadership, Training Services Managers, Sales, and Safety/Compliance teams

  • Support client management regarding training performance issues

  • Travel across Europe (approximately 30–35%)

Candidate Requirements

  • Hold or have held in the past 3 years an EASA and UK Part FCL ATPL license and associated certificates

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications

  • Extensive instructor experience for professional pilot licenses or associated ratings

  • 3+ years’ experience managing pilot training at an ATO and/or AOC

  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and ATO approval processes

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and compliance-focused mindset

Job Location

  • Can be based at any major CAE CAT centre in Europe: ideally at Gatwick, Amsterdam, Madrid, Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm, or Milan

  • Flexible office attendance (minimum 3 days per week)
