Air Arabia Academy Enhances Cadet and Pilot Proficiency with A320 Fixed Base Simulator in UAE

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – Air Arabia Academy, the training division of low-cost carrier Air Arabia, highlighted its A320 Fixed Base Simulator to support cadet pilot development and recurrent training for experienced flight crew.

  • The A320 Fixed Base Simulator is a core element of the Academy’s Airline Pilot Training Programme.
  • It is used by cadets during both the Basic and Advanced phases of their training to develop handling skills and cockpit familiarization.
  • Experienced pilots also undergo refresher training using the device to maintain operational proficiency.
  • The fixed base simulator provides a high-fidelity and cost-effective training environment, supporting skill development in normal and abnormal scenarios.
  • The device was manufactured by MPS

United Arab Emirates – Women in Aviation Middle East, a non-profit organisation focused on advancing women in the aviation sector, has launched the 2025 edition of its Pier Seven Aviation Internship Program. The initiative is designed to provide selected candidates with immersive industry exposure and career-building opportunities across various aviation disciplines.

  • The P7A Internship Program runs for 3–6 months and offers direct mentorship from experienced aviation professionals.

  • Participants will gain practical, hands-on experience while networking with peers and senior industry leaders.

  • The program targets current members of Women in Aviation Middle East who meet specific academic or professional criteria.

  • Eligible applicants must:

    • Be proficient in English

    • Have either completed a university degree in aviation within the last 12–24 months, hold or have held a PPL/CPL/ATPL, or hold or have held an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License.

  • Applications are open until April 20, 2025, with selected candidates to be announced at the Women in Aviation Middle East Annual Conference on May 8, 2025.

Pier Seven Aviation is a Sharjah, United Arab Emirates based full flight simulator training center with a fleet of six dynamic simulators, including the A320 NEO, A320 CEO, B737 CL, B737 NG, and B747.
