Clark, Philippines – In a joint graduation ceremony on 20 January 2024, pilot training group Alpha Aviation Group proudly acknowledged the achievements of fourteen (14) First Officer Transition (FOT) trainees along with three (3) cadet pilots belonging to batches 42 & 45 of AAG’s Airline Pilot Program (APP). This event celebrates their journey as pilot trainees and signifies their transition to the next phase as first officers.
Capt. Gimby Cervania (AAG International Center for Aviation Training [AICAT] Head of Training) lauded the graduates for their unwavering dedication and pursuit of their dreams. “We witness not just the conclusion of a chapter, but the commencement of a lifelong journey for these remarkable individuals who have completed their training to become airline pilots,” he shares in his welcome remarks.
“Remember that every rejection and every failure makes you stronger. Persevere without losing hope; persistent efforts will lead to success,” shares Capt. Anthony Tan (AAG Philippines Head of Training) in his remarks as the inspirational speaker.
In his closing remarks, Capt. Vicente Casibang II (AAGP Accountable Manager) underscored the importance of learning as a lifelong endeavor and the key to being well-prepared and having a thriving career as they pursue opportunities in aviation.
Also in attendance were Capt. Gaudencio Maniano (AICAT Accountable Manager), Capt. Neil Bugarin (Head of OCC AAG & AICAT Operations), and Ms. Ma. Rufina Santos (AAG Head of Student Affairs and Client Relations) who expressed gratitude to the families and loved ones for their steadfast support throughout the graduates’ journey.

Dublin, Ireland headquartered Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider and operator of the global pilot training group BAA Training, operating a fleet of over 199 aircraft, is eyeing an aircraft order of 100 aircraft of either Airbus or Boeing – Irish media has reported following an interview with its Chairman.
In January 2023 Avia Solutions Group announced that it had signed a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire Australian airline, Skytrans. Skytrans is an Australian-owned and operated airline and air charter business. The airline operates Regular Public Transport (RPT) and charter services, with a current fleet spanning 13 regional aircraft.

Global pilot training solution provider CAE which operates a full flight simulator training center in Clark, Philippines – CAE Philippines – recently organized a type rating information session event that received an overwhelming turnout, showing the strong interest in the Philippines market.
