Subic and Clark, Philippines based flight school First Aviation Academy recently held its graduation ceremony for its pilots attended by the Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Jaime J. Bautista. The DOT Secretary shared his congratulations and inspiring words to the newest FAA Pilots. Check out the video below.

BAA Training Vietnam announced that its 24-month Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL) program in partnership with Bamboo Airways officially entered the enrollment phase for the first course.

Twenty-two (22) cadet pilots belonging to five (5) various batches who successfully completed Alpha Aviation Group’s Airline Pilot Program (APP) were formally recognized in a joint graduation ceremony on 25 February 2023.
Leading the pack were Cadet Pilot Robin Erick Daniel Limjoco and Cadet Pilot Adrian Simon Arce (both of APP Batch 37) who delivered celebratory speeches. Limjoco acted as Batch Representative during the training while Arce graduated with high distinction.
“Dreams can turn into reality through perseverance,” shared Limjoco. Arce meanwhile, spoke about the challenging training they had gone through, the importance of preparing for each class and flight which made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable, and the sense of accomplishment they all shared in achieving their goal of becoming world-class pilots.
Capt. Victor Emmanuel Custodio (VP – Flight Operations, AirSWIFT) graced the event as guest of honor and speaker. He recalled AAG’s humble beginnings and lauded how Group COO Cris Magdangal (then as AAGP’s Head of Operations and later as General Manager) has transformed the organization to what it is today, a premier aviation training solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region.
“As newcomers to the world of aviation, it takes conscious effort on your part to learn and absorb knowledge. Never succumb to the pressure and temptation to compromise and take shortcuts,” he advised the graduates. He also reminded them of the importance of prioritizing the safety of the passengers and crew in flight, being aware of how they are dealing with others as pilots, and managing risks.

Czech Republic based flight school, F AIR, which was recently approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), announced it has signed a pilot training agreement with Vietnam Airlines and Viet Flight Training.
“We are pleased to share that our audit with Vietnam Airlines has been completed and F-AIR has been officially recognized as a training centre for their professional pilots. F-AIR is thrilled to have successfully completed this rigorous process and is looking forward to continuing our partnership with Vietnam Airlines,” wrote F AIR.

Global Training Aviation (GTA) recently attended a UPRT Seminar by Airbus and Indonesia National Air Carriers Association (INACA) in Indonesia. “In GTA we are committed to security and safety and that’s why our A320 FFS at Jakarta is EASA certified for UPRT,” wrote GTA.
UPRT stands for aeroplane “Upset Prevention and Recovery Training” and constitutes a combination of theoretical knowledge and flying training with the aim of providing flight crew with the required competencies to both prevent and to recover from situations in which an aeroplane unintentionally exceeds the parameters for line operation or training (aeroplane upsets).
