“This position reports to the Chief Remote Pilot of AirAsia Drone Academy.

AOC : AAGB Location : KUL/KL Sentral

Division: Drone

Your Responsibilities

  • AirAsia Drone Academy’s RFI is responsible for all operational training operations of AirAsia Drone Academy.
  • The RFI is responsible for providing guidance to students throughout the unmanned aircraft flight phases during practical and simulator training sessions.
  • AirAsia Drone Academy’s RGI is responsible for all theory training operations under AirAsia Drone Academy.
  • The RGI is responsible for providing guidance to students throughout the unmanned aircraft flight phases during in-class training sessions.

Your Duties

  • Ensure that all training operations are conducted in accordance with Training Procedure Manual;
  • Assists the Chief Remote Pilot when required.
  • Maintain a record of training courses conducted;
  • Ensure all records are kept in accordance with Chapter 7.1 of the Training Procedure Manual.
  • Adhere to any requirements set out in CAD 6011 Part (I).
  • Keep up-to-date on developments regarding UAS hardware, software and training syllabus.

Your Merits

  • Sound technical and vocational training in a relevant subject area, demonstrated by any of the following means:
  • A practical background in aviation in the areas relevant for the theoretical knowledge training provided and have undergone a course of instructional technique training; or
  • Previous experience in delivering theoretical knowledge instruction and appropriate theoretical background in the subject on which they will provide theoretical instruction.
  • Sound knowledge of the requirements for the practical skill assessment tasks they carry out and adequate experience of such processes;
  • The ability to administer the declarations, records and reports that demonstrate that the relevant assessments have been carried out and the conclusions of those assessments;
  • The ability to interpret and assess operations manuals;
  • Information that is supplied by individuals applying for remote pilot certificates, or by UAS operators, must not be disclosed to any other than the CAAM”
