Philippines’ Alpha Aviation Group Maintenance Training Center Internship Programs Go Full Swing

AAG International Center for Aviation Training (AICAT) Maintenance Training Center (MTC) operations continue to go full-swing as it welcomed on 03 March 2023 the second batch of the Flight Dispatcher Internship Program (FDIP) comprising of fifteen (15) students from PATTS College of Aeronautics.

Capt. Vicente Casibang II (AAG Philippines Accountable Manager) and Capt. Napoleon Garcia (AICAT-AMO Accountable Manager) formally welcomed the trainees. Both Accountable Managers underscored the important role of flight dispatchers in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations and reaffirmed AAG’s commitment to providing the best possible training value and experience, which would allow the trainees to develop the skills and confidence they need to excel in their careers. They also emphasized the value of learning and development as the trainees prepare to embark ontheir journeys in the aviation industry.

The FDIP is a 2-month-long specialized training designed to provide trainees with extensive knowledge in operating flight dispatch systems for small aircraft like the Cessna C172 and Tecnam P2006T.

Aside from the FDIP, the AICAT-MTC also offers Aviation Maintenance Internship Program (AMIP), Aeronautical Engineering Internship Program (AEIP) and Supplemental Proficiency Program (SPP).

Alpha Aviation Group Philippines Formally Sends off 22 First Officer-Qualified Pilots

Twenty-two (22) cadet pilots belonging to five (5) various batches who successfully completed Alpha Aviation Group’s Airline Pilot Program (APP) were formally recognized in a joint graduation ceremony on 25 February 2023.

Leading the pack were Cadet Pilot Robin Erick Daniel Limjoco and Cadet Pilot Adrian Simon Arce (both of APP Batch 37) who delivered celebratory speeches. Limjoco acted as Batch Representative during the training while Arce graduated with high distinction.

“Dreams can turn into reality through perseverance,” shared Limjoco. Arce meanwhile, spoke about the challenging training they had gone through, the importance of preparing for each class and flight which made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable, and the sense of accomplishment they all shared in achieving their goal of becoming world-class pilots.

Capt. Victor Emmanuel Custodio (VP – Flight Operations, AirSWIFT) graced the event as guest of honor and speaker. He recalled AAG’s humble beginnings and lauded how Group COO Cris Magdangal (then as AAGP’s Head of Operations and later as General Manager) has transformed the organization to what it is today, a premier aviation training solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region.

“As newcomers to the world of aviation, it takes conscious effort on your part to learn and absorb knowledge. Never succumb to the pressure and temptation to compromise and take shortcuts,” he advised the graduates. He also reminded them of the importance of prioritizing the safety of the passengers and crew in flight, being aware of how they are dealing with others as pilots, and managing risks.
