Southeast Asian Pilot Simulator Training Center, AAG, Inducts 14 Pilots for A320 Type Rating Program

Clark, Philippines based pilot training group and full flight simulator training center Alpha Aviation Group Philippines (AAGP) inducted on 14 February 2023 another batch of 14 pilots to its flagship A320 type rating program, the AAG First Officer Transition (FOT) Program.

“We are very happy to welcome to the AAG Family this very diverse group of pilots, the second batch to undergo the FOT for year 2023. They shall soon join the network of more than 1,000 pilots AAG has trained since 2006,” shares Maria Rufina Santos (Head, Student Affairs and Client Relations, AAG).

Seven (7) of the trainees belong to various batches of AAG’s flagship ab-initio cadetship program called Airline Pilot Program (APP) while the other seven (7) are graduates of various flight schools in the Philippines including three (3) Cambodians and two (2) former flight instructors of the AAG International Center for Aviation Training (AICAT).

Capt. Vicente Casibang II (AAG Philippines Accountable Manager) and Capt. Anthony Tan (AAG Philippines Head of Training) were also present to formally welcome the trainees. They reiterated AAG’s commitment to delivering top- of-class training value and experience. They also underscored the importance of preparation, hard work, and willingness to learn from failures as key ingredients to the success of any pilot training and a career in the airlines.

Clark, Philippines based Alpha Aviation Group Philippines (AAGP) has once again passed the latest evaluation and inspection of its Flight Simulator Training Devices and Compliance Monitoring System conducted by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on 27 January to 02 February 2023.

The EASA Certifications on AAGP’s two (2) A320 full flight simulators (FFS) and one (1) A330 FFS shall remain on “active” status until January 2024. “This means another year of unhampered delivery and assured quality of simulator training services to our valued clients, airline partners and cadets,” states Capt. Vicente Casibang II (AAGP Accountable Manager).

“AAGP’s simulator training center has a proven and solid track record in providing 99% average operational reliability rate and 24/7 service support to its clientele. Compliance to the highest standards of FSTD certification enables us to do this over the years,” adds Casibang.

The AAGP simulator training center is headed by Victor Dufort (Simulator Maintenance Manager), Hugues Lemire (Visual System Specialist), Steve Montambeault (Flight Control and Motion System Specialist), and Vince Harvey Galang (Head of Operations). Apart from maintaining AAGP’s simulators, the team is also capable of providing consultancy and technical advisory support services (training center design, simulator acquisition, feasibility study/market research) to other simulator training centers anywhere in the world.
