Ankara, Türkiye- Headquartered simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN announced its latest Airbus A320 full flight simulator will undergo and complete factory acceptance test this month. Following the tests, the company will initiate the certification process for the device, making the simulator ready for training at the beginning of 2024.
HAVELSAN previously signed a contract with Turkish Airlines for the procurement of a total of 11 A320 CEO NEOs and Boeing 737 Max full flight simulators (FFS) and FTD’s. Following the EASA certification of two Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators, HAVELSAN and Turkish Airlines announced the opening of the new Turkish Airline Training Center within HAVELSAN’s premises. With the latest development of the company aiming to complete the FAT’s, HAVELSAN is scaling up its solutions to support airline customers for their pilot training requirements.
“We believe that the Factory Acceptance Tests for our A320 FFS will be conducted successfully and will pass the tests, enabling us to complete our final preparations for the delivery.” stated Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar, CEO of HAVELSAN.

Turkey based full flight simulator training center IFTC has taken the lead as the inaugural customer for ProSim Training Solutions’ XR tool, ViXR. ProSim anticipates expanding this collaboration with IFTC to create additional training tools, enhancing training quality and simultaneously increasing yield and throughput.

Malaysia’s flag carrier Malaysian Airlines took a Flame Aviation manufactured V7000 Brigade VIEW next-generation fire trainer into service. The fire trainer is the 2023-version, fully equipped with all features to simulate a variety of inflight fire scenarios under highly realistic circumstances and located in MAB’s new training center in Kuala Lumpur.
The same version is in operation with Air France, BAA Training and American Airlines.

Embraer Commercial Aviation has appointed Marie-LouisePhilippe Vice President Sales & Marketing, and Head of Region for Europe and Central Asia. Philippe reports to Martyn Holmes, the Chief Commercial Officer of Embraer Commercial Aviation. Marie-Louise will be based in Amsterdam, from where she will also support Embraer’s sustainability roadmap in the region.
With over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Marie-Louise has had a rich international career, being previously based in France, Singapore and Hong Kong. Philippe has had wide ranging commercial leadership roles at Airbus in procurement and customer affairs, and a strong sales record with customers in Europe and Asia.
Most recently Marie-Louise successfully led services and aircraft sales teams in South-East Asia, where she was also spearheading M&A, industrial cooperation projects, and serving on the steering board of a training centre.
“I’m delighted to welcome Marie-Louise to Embraer, she comes with an exceptional track record and reputation. Europe and Central Asia is a critical region for Embraer, where we have a strong history of building partnerships with some of the world’s most successful airlines.
