Global Pilot Training Group, CAE, is Seeking to Hire a Sales Manager – APAC

CAE is hiring a Sales Manager – APAC who will be focused on securing business from prospective and current accounts in an effort to meet and exceed sales objectives through solution selling, focusing on existing simulator owner/ operator and potential equipment buyers. This position requires an applicant to possess a bachelor’s degree and a job-related experience for at least eight (8) years. Please see an extract of the job post below.

“Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop account strategies for all assigned accounts
  • Lead and manage a specific set of prescribed commercial accounts. The Account Leader drives product and service revenue growth through managing relationships with current customers. leverage entire CAE organization
  • Promote and execute all CAE Commercial Products/Portfolio in accordance with the civil objectives
    • Complete account coverage and intimacy including customer organization, decision makers, fleet composition and deliveries, etc
  • Effectively leverage the appropriate Technical Sales Specialist (SME) from the global capture team
  • Responsible for all activities related to profitably, increasing existing client revenue and growing business through new integration and turnkey projects, using a broad range of products and services.
  • Drives the development of, and meets or exceeds the business plan and budget systems sales and gross margin targets
  • Helps secure new customers and appropriate partners, and manages and nurtures these relationships to grow sales, minimize conflict, and develop new revenue-generating alliances
  • Provides the primary interface between customers and the Company in all sales-related matters (e.g. sales strategy development, implementation; proposal/quotation preparation; presentations, corporate and customer site visits, training, problem escalation, win/loss analysis, etc), engaging other internal resources when required
  • Bring leadership to new products and services – bring creativity and voice of customer to entire CAE organization.
  • Maintains the Sales Force content for each of the accounts
  • Follows pricing governance processes
  • Leads the RFP initiative, using internal resources as required, to prepare comprehensive RFP responses, including: technical descriptions, pricing, site and implementation drawings, specifications, company information, competitive analysis, and any other information required by the RFPs.
  • Assess and highlight business development/ joint venture opportunities, calling in global BD resources as appropriate”

Online Pilot Training Solutions Provider, Avsoft, Creates Dash 8-200 Course for Air Greenland

Avsoft has created a Dash 8-200 aircraft systems online aviation course for valued customer Air Greenland. Avsoft worked in collaboration with Air Greenland’s pilot training department using Envision, Avsoft’s proprietary content authoring tool to create the custom aircraft systems course, which will provide both initial and recurrent training delivered through Avsoft’s LMS.

Envision is a database-driven application that includes all steps of the online course building process, except for the creation of graphics, which is handled by Avsoft’s Technical Illustrators. Using Envision, Air Greenland was able to write narrations, proof graphics, add notes for team members, and proof questions. As for the narration audio, Envision incorporates automated text-to-speech (TTS) software that uses Amazon Polly and IBM Watson neural voices.

Once all the course content was approved by Air Greenland, Avsoft assembled and published the Dash 8-200 aircraft systems course, which is now being used by Air Greenland pilots via Avsoft’s LMS. Any future changes, such as corrections or updates, will be handled quickly using Envision.
