Simnest Aviation Powers Pilot Training Organization’s First APS-MCC Course in Norway

Norway— Simnest Aviation’s simulator platform is playing a central role in Redflight Aviation’s inaugural APS-MCC (Airline Pilot Standards – Multi-Crew Cooperation) course, now halfway completed. The training device, supplied by the Budapest-based simulator manufacturer, has enabled Redflight to deliver high-fidelity, EASA-compliant multi-crew training to its first cohort of cadets.

The simulator replicates Airbus-standard systems and workflows, allowing cadets to train in realistic airline operations scenarios.

  • Earlier this year, Saudia Academy announced the construction of a new training centre in Riyadh, revealed at the Arab Aviation Summit.

  • Phase One of the Riyadh facility will include eight full-flight simulator bays for Airbus and Boeing aircraft types, with operations expected to commence by Q1 2026.

  • The Riyadh centre will complement Saudia Academy’s existing Jeddah-based training facility, significantly increasing the Kingdom’s training capacity.

  • The development is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which prioritises building a global aviation hub through expanded infrastructure, airline growth, and workforce development.
