Air Cairo Rolls-Out Acron Aviation’s Advanced Flight Data Monitoring Across Its Aircraft Fleet

Egypt — Acron Aviation has announced a significant Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) agreement with Air Cairo. Under this this multi-year contract, Acron Aviation will provide a fully outsourced Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) service based on its industry leading Flight Data Connect (FDC) platform. The service will cover the entire Air Cairo fleet that includes ATR, Embraer and Airbus aircraft types.

The agreement was signed in mid-April 2025 with service commencing on 1 May. The seamless and rapid transition of Air Cairo’s existing FDM service to Acron Aviation saw the onboarding of Air Cairo’s fleet of 36 aircraft into the FDC platform. This included the configuration of an automated flight data download pipeline and customisation of safety events, selected from a library of over 750 events, aligned with Air Cairo’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Acron Aviation’s FDC platform uses a patented data processing and analysis engine, delivering flight insights within minutes from receipt of data. This innovative platform utilizes statistical modelling and machine learning to provide Air Cairo with accurate intelligence in a visual and easy to understand format. This enables operational teams to quickly assess and identify safety risks, emerging trends and take informed corrective actions with accuracy and speed to maintain the highest levels of operational safety and efficiency.

Complementing the FDM service, the agreement includes Acron Aviation’s innovative Astra pilot app. This customizable app utilizes flight data intelligence from multiple sources to synthesis a unified view of operational and safety performance. The app securely distributes personalized insights to pilots in an easy-to-understand format that informs decision making.

Ankara, Türkiye – based flight simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN is proud to announce that Turkish Airlines has placed a follow-on order of another Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator to be delivered in January 2026.

Under the agreement signed with HAVELSAN in 2018, Turkish Airlines originally planned to procure a total of eleven training devices consisting of three A320neo/ceo, two B737 MAX Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and six Flight Training Devices (FTD).

As of today, Turkish Airlines successfully operates two B737 MAX, two A320neo/ceo simulators and one B737NG, which is the first procured simulator, produced by HAVELSAN, all certified to EASA Level D standards. In addition, the delivery of the last A320neo/ceo simulator as part of the previous agreement is scheduled in November 2025.

With this new order for a B737 MAX Full Flight Simulator, it will become the third B737 MAX and the seventh simulator in total produced by HAVELSAN in the fleet of Turkish Airlines. This new order of one B737 MAX Full Flight Simulator is a clear sign of confidence in HAVELSAN’s Boeing B737 MAX pilot training device solutions.
